Stella

Today I was gonna ignore Hundson. I had gotten out of the bathroom not feeling refreshed at all I was too busy thinking about what that computer had told me to get a good night sleep.

Could I trust it though? Was it a reliable source of information?

I listen to the thud of my towel on the floor before I put on my school uniform.

Going to a private school that taught me formalities I already learnt from home so that was a bit refreshing, I loved hearing about things I already knew quite alot about and even happier to learn new information.

I use my hands in a means to softly press my skirt into the correct form.

Walking downstairs, I see that my mother is in the kitchen while my father sits at the table reading a newspaper, one of the subtitles being, 'Murderer still not acquired ' .

I take up an apple of the counter top and say, "I'm sorry father, I didn't mean to upset you"

My father does not even glance at me, let alone reply. He is so swift to turn on me when I've done nothing wrong.

"Father, please" I plead.

"Stella" He states, his voice is rough, I've never heard it like this before. "If you could grant me the satisfaction of not hearing your voice while I read".

Of course, he know it took alot more to shut me up, "Father, you are being unreasonable-"

"And you are being dumb" He cuts me off. "Why are you associating with a killer? Haven't you learnt how that ends child? Do you like embarrassing me Stella?"

"Of course not" I respond. "I am merely helping an innocent boy, I've done my research, and the chances are fifty-fifty father-"

"I can't listen to anymore of this" Father says before walking off.

I bite into my apple. Why do my parents hate me for doing the right thing? Maybe ignoring Hudson wasn't a good idea.

"School Stella" My mother reminds as she hands me the breakfast she has placed in a container for me.

"Thank You"

When we arrive at the institution for learning, I find a quiet place outside to eat my breakfast as I gather my thoughts.

"Penny for your thoughts" I hear a male voice interrupt me, I look up to see Hudson.

"Are you stalking me, supposed criminal?" I ask him.

"Maybe" He replies sitting next to me and I scoot over. "So what are you thinking about?"

"How about we talk about what you are thinking of?"

"Well I'm thinking that I was going to manipulate you into getting information but then I realized if I did that I'd just be proving the town right, and then, I also realized that you really didn't have to come help me at that police station, I've had some time to see I was being really rude, so really thanks"

"Is this the part where I push you off the roof?"

Hudson lets out a chuckle before saying, "Well it's your choice, really, you could do that or you could also help me find who really killed my parents"

This is what I've been scared of, when I'd have to make the decision. "First of, thank you for telling me all that but Hudson.."

"Is this where you tell me your loyal to your family?"

"This is where I tell you, I haven't made my decision, I'm-"

"Got it", Hudson says before walking off. I sat there confused as to what just happened. Pretty soon, Issac spotted me whilst walking by and came to join me. I continued eating my breakfast as he did.

"How are you today?" He asks.

"Oh, I'm okay" I reply to him. "And you?"

"I'm fine, just school stress"

I smile at him and my eyes caught sight of something red on his neck.

"What's that?" I question pointing towards his neck.

"Bug bite" He casually replies, "It'll get better soon"

"Oh I'm sorry" I tell him. "Want me to kiss it better for you?"

He nods before I press my lips on his neck. "Thanks"

"Your welcome" I smile.

The bell rings interrupting us and we say our good-byes before we walk to our separate classes. Ask me how I felt towards Issac, it was basically a duty. I am not allowed to have a choice in who I get married to, my father says Issac is the perfect choice and I, of course agreed.

I didn't like that Hudson was upset with me. I didn't want to be in this situation and it kept bothering me during class, I needed to get it sorted out before it consumes my mind and I am unable to think of anything but that.

"Ms. Burman?" My teacher says and I drop the pencil that was in my hand, I haven't been paying attention.

"Yes Mr. Fay?" I answer.

"I said get into pairs but you didn't seem to hear, now your the only one left"

I glance around the class seeing everyone seated with somebody else.

"Oh, I can work alone, then" I tell him.

Just then, as if the universe is against me, Hudson walks in. I pick up my pencil. "Perfect, you'll work with Hudson" He says.

Great, put a supposed killer and the lawyer's daughter in the same group.

As Mr. Fay eplains the pair work. Hudson flops down beside me and scilence covers us. We were suppose to make a presentation in law on Defamation. It was due next week.

When Mr. Fay leaves I say to Hudson, "Are you planning on ignoring me the whole week?"

He says nothing. When were people going to realize that I was annoying?

"Hudson"

He peered at me before proceeding to take out his book. "Very mature" I tell him taking out my phone to begin research for the presentation. If he continues ignoring me then he'll make the choice very much easier.

But your father is also mad at you Stella....

My brain remids me. Why is this even such a big deal? Can't it be over with already?

"I confided in you because of all you lectures on doing what is right and now you want to side with putting me away Burman, am I not reacting the right way?" Hudson says causing me to look at him.

He was right. I was wrong. As much as I hate to admit. I needed to make a choice and fast.
