Stella
I had bought Lucas a watch. I hope he likes it. I know it's not enough to thank him for providing assistance that night but I had hoped it would even compensate half the time.
I watch as Issac and Shane held hands as we walked up to the house but as soon as I heard the loud music, images of that night started flashing again and I started to feel scared.
"Stella" Issac says once my feet stop moving. There were kids outside drinking too and I didn't want to go anymore. I thought it would've been different but it wasn't. No! I couldn't do this I didn't want to. I was too afraid and my body knew it by the way it was shaking.
"Stella" Issac says once again coming over to me. He didn't know what happened at the last party I went to and I didn't want him to either, I didn't want him to pity me or see me differently.
"Hudson?" Issac says and I now realize he on his phone.
"What's up?" Hudson says through the speaker.
"How far away are you?"
"Like...a couple minutes"
"Could you hurry over, please?"
"Is everything okay? Where's Stella?"
Issac looks at me. "She's...sort of well...stuck"
"Stuck?" Hudson confusingly answers. "Okay, I'll be there in a few"
Issac now hangs up and Shane walks over to us. They came here to have fun and of course I have to be the one to ruin it. Why did I agree to this? I thought birthday parties were a small gathering of people, not drinking without loud music, with cake and ice-cream. I really didn't think it would be like this.
That's when I saw him. I swore Asher was standing by a tree looking at me and that made my feet move going back into the car. But when I'm in the car, I realize it was just another boy and not Asher.
Whilst I was in the backseat, Issac came over by the window.
"Issac, I'm fine" I tell him softly. I don't want me to be the reason that he doesn't have fun tonight. "You can go"
"Stella, I'm pretty sure fun won't pass me by if I wait five minutes for Hudson to get here.
I look at him before placing my hand over his, "Thank You, Issac, you've been a great friend"
Issac smiles before touching mine back. I then hear another car pull up. It's Hudson and....Amelia. You have got to be kidding me.
"She's in the car" I hear Issac say. Pretty soon Hudson was making his way over to me and I would be lying if I said I didn't feel more relax. I scoot over so Hudson can sit beside me in the backseat.
"Hey" I tell him softly once he gets into the car.
"Babe, what's up? Aren't you feeling up for this?" He questions stroking my cheek.
"I thought I was" I tell him. "But I don't know, I saw our peers and got scared"
"We don't have to go if you don't want to, Stella"
