Chapter Thirty-One

"So, what you are saying is that there is little change?"

"I'm sorry Jungkook, but I don't see much difference in both images, here have a look."

Jungkook leant forward and studied both images, Ji-Hong was almost right but Jungkook noticed something.

"Look at this, There is clear improvement in the second image than the first."

Jungkook pointed out where he was looking, and Ji-Hong looked again. His eyes widened and he looked at Jungkook.

"How the hell did you spot that? Even I missed it."

"It's obvious, the area is healthier looking, in the second image, whereas in the first it is cloudier and clearly more damaged. If you look at this part, it's recovering as it should. This is why Tae' is remembering things, his brain is healing. It might only take one small thing to trigger his memories." Jungkook announced, very happily, a huge grin on his face.

Ji-Hong looked at him with deep respect, his young apprentice had even found something he, a senior doctor, had missed.

"Are you sure you don't want to specialise in neurology? You would be an asset to the profession."

"No thanks, I'm going into IVF training starting as soon as Tae' is well. But thanks for your appreciation, you know I value your advice."

"If you don't mind my asking, how did he remember the images?"

Jungkook blushed.

"He...um...asked me to kiss him."

"He did?"

"Yeah, he said if he did things he had been used to it might help him remember, I've got to say, It felt like the old Tae' when we did kiss."

"I'm happy for you Jungkook, but it's still a long process...keep doing whatever you can to help his memory return...does he remember anyone else yet?"

"No, and it's a shame, Rose has her first scan soon, and I know Tae' really wanted to be there, before the accident. I'm not sure how to bring it up to him. Having no memory of new friends is hard for him, he struggled when he found out Taechi wasn't a toddler anymore."

"He's improving, you discovered that yourself, it'll come back to him."

"I just hope it does before our baby is born."

Jungkook stood and wished Ji-Hong farewell and left the office to go back to Tae'.

He opened Tae's door and froze. Turning he screamed at the nurses and doctors standing around outside and rushed over to Tae' who was having a seizure.

"Get Doctor Hong NOW!!!" He screamed and rushed over to Tae'.

Two nurses entered the room and Jungkook pointed to his legs.

"Stay near his legs. I've got his head."

Jungkook looked on helpless as Tae's body shook violently, he carefully removed the button that was fastened near his neck and placed a hand on his chest to try and comfort him, one minute later Tae's body came to a stop and he lay still. Jungkook gently shook him.

"Tae'...open your eyes Tae'"

Tae' slowly did so, he looked at Jungkook blinking.

"K...Kookie?"

Jungkook inwardly gasped.

"What happened to me?"

"You were having a seizure babe, you're awake now, come on let's get you on your side."
