Chapter Forty

"You can't do this guys, this whole mess will calm down in no time...just wait...please don't quit..." Hoseok begged.

"No...Tae's right...look what happened as soon as people found out about us...It's dangerous and we have our children to think about." Jungkook argued.

"Exactly, what if Taechi gets bullied because someone invaded our privacy, it's not fair on her or the triplets." Tae replied looking at Hoseok.

"Our minds are made up, when this tour is over, we will go back home...it's just not for us anymore." Jungkook agreed.

"Will you even be able to perform for the rest of the tour?" Jimin questioned Tae'

Tae' thought about it, he really didn't want to let their fan base down.

"I think that as long as I sit out the really physical songs, I should be ok." He responded.

"So basically all of them?" Yoongi pouted.

"Yoongs I can do some of them, but not all...I won't disappoint our Ami's"

"We don't have a show tonight so you can rest, but we will need to rehearse for tomorrow night's concert...we will need to see how you do in rehearsals." Hoseok said more to himself than Tae'.

"No I need to rehearse...I'll be fine as long as I don't stretch too much."

"Babe you were shot, do you not remember how much you struggled before?"

"Kook, I can't let our Ami's down."

"But..?"

"No, I'm gonna do it, I'll perform tomorrow."

"I'm afraid I can't allow that..."

A voice broke into their conversation and they all turned to see a female doctor stood at the door, looking at Tae'

"What do you mean you can't allow that?" Tae' asked her.

"You have a deep wound in your stomach that is held together with stitches, if that gets pulled you will bleed again and it could get infected...This will be dangerous for your body. I would advise strict bed rest for the next two weeks..." She replied back.

"Two weeks? But we are touring and I have to fly to Mexico the day after tomorrow..."

"That's not possible Mr Kim, you need to be mindful of your wound."

Tae's face fell, of course he knew she was right. This wasn't his first time getting shot, but back then he didn't have thousands of people travelling to see him and his brothers perform together, he only had Taechi to think about.

He looked at Hoseok, he knew he was thinking it over, he turned to the doctor.

"If we promise to make him sit down the whole time and not dance...just sing...can he do it then?"

The doctor thought about it then shook her head.

"I'm sorry but he will still need to use his lung capacity to do so, that could cause the wound to open. If he can sing for me now and not have any pain, I may reconsider."

Tae' looked at her, she was showing no emotion, her face straight so he didn't think she just wanted him to sing for her, she seemed to genuinely be concerned for his wellbeing.

Tae' opened his mouth and began, he put his whole heart into his song, but he didn't expect the shooting pain that shot through his body, stopping him abruptly from finishing his song.
