Elwin arrived at Havenfield just minutes after Sophie had calmed down. He said he'd have to take him to his office at Foxfire to properly check him. Sophie tried to go, but Elwin insisted on her staying home. She stormed off, angry at everyone.

Keefe was about to go looking for Sophie when Biana leaped into Havenfield.

"Biana?"

"Hey, Keefe! Where's Sophie?" Biana asked, clearly distracted.

"Did Fitz not tell you what happened?"

"No..?" He filled Biana in on all that had happened that evening. With each new detail, Biana's expression became more and more upset.

"... and I don't know where she is now," Keefe finished.

"Let's split up and look for her. If you find her, hail me. I'll do the same." Biana said. She went and checked in the caves where Dex and Sophie had been captured. Keefe, on the other hand, had no idea where to look. He checked around her house, but after a while gave up. He ended up walking along the shore of the beach that they were going to go earlier. He heard sniffling and looked up.

He ran over to the noise and said, "Foster?" She looked up, met his eyes, then looked away. He sat down next to her, giving her some space.

"Are you ok?" Keefe asked, feeling sick from being so worried.

"No, no, I'm not," Sophie admitted, her voice cracking near the end. Keefe winced, feeling her emotions. She felt angry and upset. But mostly guilty. So much guilt.

"Whoa Foster, that's a lot of guilt you're throwing at me," Keefe said, waving his hand between them as if he were clearing away the guilt.

"Sorry.." Sophie mumbled, scooting away.

"Why do you feel so guilty?" Keefe asked, scooting back towards her. He took her hand and sent her calming breezes. He went to pull his hand away, but she held on tightly.

Finally, Sophie answered, "I let my anger get away from me. That's never happened before, except when I was new to the ability. And Fitz got hurt. And he hates me. And I can't do anything right!" Sophie cried.

"This isn't your fault. Mistakes happen, I should know," Keefe said, pulling her into a hug. He felt Sophie get nervous and excited. He raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything.

"Do you know what caused him to get so angry?" Keefe asked in a gentle voice. Sophie sunk closer to him, afraid to answer.

"You can tell me anything, Foster."

She sighed, then said, "He accused me of..." Sophie started. Keefe looked over and saw that she fainted. But, before he could panic, the smell of a sweet chemical scent filled his nose. The last thing he remembered was a deep scratchy laugh coming from a cloaked figure.
