Sophie froze, unsure of what to do. She looked over at Keefe for help. But to her surprise, Keefe had a smirk on his face.
"It's okay, Foster. He's better," Keefe said, smiling down at her.
"But... he's a traitor? He was brainwashed?" Sophie sputtered out in confusion.
"SOMEONE burst through the door before I could finish." Tam looked at the ground. He removed his cloak and set it aside.
"Sophie? Are you okay?" Tam whispered with a panicked look on his face.
"I'm okay?" Sophie responded, confused. Tam released whatever breath he was holding. He gave her a sad smile and walked out of the room.
"Care to finish your story?" She transmitted.
"Right. So Tam was a real jerk, and Biana wouldn't take it. She was determined to get the old Tam back. It may be better to show you this next part."
----------
"Tam?" Biana whispered, shaking.
"I told you to leave me alone!!" Tam shouted. He took his knife and sliced Biana's arm.
"What happened to you?" Biana stammered, trying to hold back a scream.
"The best thing that could've happened. The Neverseen saved me while you left me to die," Tam said, and stroke her again on her other arm and made an even deeper cut. She fell to the floor, screaming and writhing in pain.
"Tam... I would never do that to you." Biana cried, fighting through the pain. "Tam, I have liked you ever since I met you. I can't lose you. You mean so much to me. I love you," Biana whispered, holding onto her now blood-covered arms. Tam fell to the floor, and just seconds later arose.
"Biana??" Tam gasped, rushing over to help her.
"Tam? Your back?" Biana gasped. Tam took her into his arms and started tearing up.
"Did I do this to you?" Tam asked as a tear rolled down his cheek.
"It doesn't matter. You're back. That's all that matters." Biana reassured.
"Let's get you home," Tam said, giving Biana a gentle kiss before leading her into the light.
----------
"So, she reversed the brainwash?" Sophie asked.
"Yeah. I don't really know how, but I think it's because their bond was so strong that he was able to overcome it when she said she loved him."
"That makes sense,"
"Yeah, it was- "
"Are you guys done?" Elwin asked. Sophie shared a look with Keefe, and with one slight nod, Sophie said she was all caught up.
"Okay. Many people are waiting to see you, but you need some rest first. If you'd like, I could give you- "
"No, sedatives," Sophie said firmly.
"Of course," Elwin laughed.
"Before you get some rest, you need to see Fitz. He needs to help Keefe track your dreams and make sure your okay." Elwin said, opening the door, letting Fitz in.
"Fitz?" Sophie said, suddenly turning pale. Fitz rushed over and gave her a big hug.
"I'm so glad you are okay! I'm so sorry about how I treated you. That was wrong. Please forgive me." Fitz pleaded, with a dull sparkle in his eyes.
"Of course! If anything, I should be apologizing to you!"
"No. I was stupid. I'm sorry."
"It's okay," Sophie said with a yawn.
"She needs some rest. Sophie, are you okay with Fitz checking your dreams and Keefe keeping your emotions in control?"
"Sounds good..." She said, drifting off to sleep.
