Before anyone could do anything, a round silver ball was thrown in the air. It felt as though Sophie's brain was being shut off. She didn't control what she did or where she went. All she saw was red. Anger was boiling in her. Hate was in her veins. Sorrow was in her blood.

She saw Dex throwing gadgets towards Fitz. She noticed Fitz was on the ground, but she couldn't bring herself to care. Their undercover bodyguards started throwing daggers and ninja stars towards Keefe and herself.

Sophie was about to inflict all her emotions away when she saw that Keefe was on the ground, thrashing. Her mind froze as if doing a reality check. She fell to the ground, her head throbbing from pain. Her vision was clear, and she could think straight.

She saw Fitz crumpled on the ground. She saw Dex, who was bleeding on his arm. She saw her bodyguards, attacking everyone. She saw Keefe lying on the ground, not moving.

Sophie knew this all was connected to what had affected Ro, but she would have to worry about that later. She ran over to Keefe to see if he was okay.

"Keefe?" She whispered. She looked to see if he was bleeding anywhere when she noticed a ninja star sticking out of his chest. His pulse was weak, and his breathing staggered.

She held back her tears as she scanned the area around her, looking for help. She looked up and saw a silver ball floating in the air. She remembered in Exilium they learned to explode objects with their mind. She focused and was able to burst the marble-like gadget.

"I don't know if you can hear me, but if you can, Keefe and I are going to see Elwin. Get out of here as fast as possible!"  Sophie transmitted.

With her last bit of energy, she leaped Keefe and herself to Foxfire. She ran inside and got Elwin.

"Elwin! Keefe's hurt! You need to help!" She sputtered, barely holding in her tears. Elwin saw her panic and rushed out to find Keefe.

He brought him inside and set him on a bed. Almost instantly, Bullhorn climbed up and snuggled next to Keefe. That's what brought the tears.

"Will he be okay?" Sophie cried.

"I don't know. Someone must've thrown a poison-dipped ninja star at him. It hit him very close to his heart. I don't know if the poison has reached his heart. I've extracted all that I could find but might've been too late. You did the right thing bringing him here, though. What happened?" Elwin asked. But Sophie didn't answer. She couldn't. She thought she'd lost him before. Now he might be gone for real.

"Sophie?" Elwin asked, rushing over.

"No, no, no.." She mumbled, feeling light-headed.

"Sophie, listen to me. This is not your fault. This is not my fault. This is the Neverseen's fault." He said. "Please keep in mind he isn't gone yet. Just breathe."

She couldn't breathe or see. She couldn't do anything. She fell to the floor; everything going dark.

"Sophie? Honey?" A voice said.

She opened her eyes and saw Edaline looking down at her.

"Thank goodness you're okay!" Edaline cried. She pulled Sophie into a hug and told her it was okay.

"Is Keefe okay?" Sophie asked while her eyes adjusted to the light.

"Drink some Youth," Edaline said.

Sophie pushed the bottle away and asked again, "Is Keefe okay?"

Edaline sighed and said, "He hasn't woken up or moved for 3 days. But his heart is still beating."

"3 days?"

"Yes, you were unconscious that long."

"I'm so sorry I scared you,"

"It's okay, I'm glad you're alright. I'll let you get some rest now." Edaline said. Sophie nodded and drank some Youth. Before she knew it, her eyes were closed, and she was asleep.
