"What took so long?" Biana asked as we arrived.
"Um... we just lost track of time," Sophie said, trying to hide her blush. Biana gave her a weird look.
Keefe cleared his throat and said, "Ready to split?"
Biana and Tam nodded then ran off together. Sophie was about to do the same before she stopped.
"We didn't tell them the plan!" She said, angry for forgetting.
"Just tell them telepathically," Keefe suggested. They agreed that she'd focus on telling them the plan, and Keefe would find their base.
"Biana? Tam?"
"Sophie?" Biana thought, surprised.
"I know we just started playing, but we forgot to tell you something,"
"What is it?" Tam asked.
"We think we know how to stop the Neverseen."
Both Biana's and Tam's thoughts seemed to pause, as if not believing what they had just heard.
"WHAT? How???" Biana thought with a shrill mental voice.
"You know how when I first got my inflicting ability, and Bronte was really harsh on me in our lessons?"
"Yeah,"
"Do you remember how I inflicted positive emotions on him, and he started acting weird?"
"Vaguely,"
"Well, Keefe thought that the reason the Neverseen's minds don't break from guilt is with erasing memories or altering the emotions they felt. So much, to a point where they don't have any emotions. I have inflicted pain on them, but Keefe thought that if I inflicted positive emotions on them, it would freeze their minds because it would be unfamiliar."
"That's a good theory, considering it came from Keefe. But what about their hats that block your ability?" Tam asked.
"Dex made a null and attached it to the clasp holding my cape together. It should cancel out its effect."
"I hate to be a big party pooper, but can't Ruy protect them in force fields?" Biana added.
"Remember how when we were with Calla and got lost in the forest? We came across a psionipath, and you broke the force field by throwing that pendant at it?"
"Kinda,"
"I asked Mr. Forkle for some more of those in case we need them," Sophie thought. She was really proud of everything Keefe and herself were able to-
"You do realize I can destroy those force fields with my shadows, right?" Tam said, interrupting her thoughts.
"The pendants are for when you aren't there, obviously," Sophie said. She, actually, had completely forgotten that Tam could destroy those. Keefe had been guiding her to wherever he was going, but he suddenly stopped.
"Why'd we stop?" Sophie asked. She looked at him, and then the area surrounding them. That's when she saw 5 hooded figures. She recognized 4: Lady Gisela, Vespera, Brant, and Ruy. The other figure had long blonde hair escaping the hood. Two turquoise eyes stared Sophie down.
"That's not..." Keefe started, pulling Sophie behind him.
"It is. Jolie's alive." Sophie finished.
