Chapter 14

A few more weeks had gone by and everyone was out of the hospital.

Evie was doing good she went back to school enjoying her classes. But things were a little harder. She was struggling to keep up with all the things she missed. But Doug was there to help her.

Lonnie was also back in school. She couldn't do any sports. She was really upset about it. But she was their to support her team, and Jay.

Jane was back in School fully now. She was helping Lonnie and Mal catch up. Carlos was being an overprotective boyfriend. He was there by her side like the clothes on her skin.

Mals arm was out of the sling, and her wrist was heeled. Her ribs have almost heeled, it still hurts sometimes when she moves.

She was back in her dorm usually hanging with Ben. Ben would usually bring Mals homework from her classes, so she could keep up.

Ben would also bring her food, and they would have every meal together. Both of them were enjoying each other's company. Especially Mal, as she knew when she was done heeling, Ben would have to go back to his Kingly duties. But right now she was enjoying the moment.

They shared one of their most sherished kisses. That one kiss will always be their favorite, as it was their first.

At the moment Mal and Ben were in Mals dorm, doing homework and having dinner. Well more like Ben was eating dinner, and Mal was doing homework.

"Mal." Ben asked.

"Mmmmm." She said not looking up from her papers.

"Why don't you put the homework down and eat something."

"I totally would. I'm starving too, but I'm trying to catch up remember. I know I'm excused for the days I missed. But this homework makes no since what's so ever. And we only have two months left of school, and you know how much I wanna graduate with everyone else."

Mal was getting frustrated, she needed a breather, and Ben knew exactly what to do.

"Hey, hey. I know how much you wanna graduate, trust me I want you to, too. But you need to eat, and after your done eating maybe we can go outside. You've been locked in this room for a while now. So please put the homework done and take a break." Ben said starting to take the papers out of her hand.

"I don't know....... " She said unsure.

"For me please?" Ben said with his puppy eyes.

"Well, when you put it like that. Okay. "

Mal couldn't say no to Ben when he asked for her to do something for him, especially with that cute face of his.

After they were done with dinner, Ben took Mal outside to enjoy the fresh air.

"Are you happy? "

"Ben of course I'm happy. Why wouldn't I be? "

"I'm just curious. I know with me being king and all I don't make much time to be with you. I just wanna know if your happy being with me."

"Ben. I love being with you. I knew what I was getting myself into when I chose to be with you. I know your King and we don't get much time together. But the more were apart makes me cherish the moments when we are. Ben you know how much I love. I love being with you."

"I love being with you too."

"What made you bring up this subject."

"I honestly don't know. I just, I guess, well, wow, I really don't know why I beought this up. Just my mind being my mind. But anyway, thankyou."

"For what? "

"For loving me"

"Your welcome, I love you"

"I love you too. "

Mal and Ben were currently looking up at the stars. Well Mal was. Ben was just looking Mal. He loved seeing how happy she was. That smile made him smile. It made his heart melt.

He loved being with Mal, no matter what happens. He was a lucky man.

"Ben, are staring at me again?" Mal said knowing Ben all to well.

"I can't help it. Your just so beautiful."

"Thanks, your not so bad yourself."

"Whatever." Ben said rolling his eyes.

The sat their laughing away. Until Fairy Godmother found them.

"I thought it was a school night, because I know darn well that curfew was 8pm."

"Sorry Fairy Godmother. I thought Mal could use some fresh air. She's been locked in her room for a couple a weeks, and I figured she needed to go outside."

"Well, I'll give you five minutes before you better be in your room. Or its detention for both of you."

"Yes Fairy Godmother."

Ben took Mal back to her dorm, as it did take them forever to get their, only because Mal was still getting used to the crutches.

He kissed her farewell, not wanting to leave her. Holding her until they heard footsteps.

"You better go before Fairy Godmother catches you."

"But I don't want to." Ben whined.

"I don't want you to either, but you kinda need to. I don't don't need you getting in trouble because of me. "

"Fine. I love you." Ben finally gave in.

"I love you too, now go before you get in trouble."

"Fine, fine, I'm going. "

"Bye."

"Bye."

Mal went to bed peaceful for the first time in months. Everything was okay. She was okay.
