Chapter 29

Previously on Descendants Love,

"How would you feel about taking down the barrier?"

Ben's P. O. V.

"Bringing down the barrier?" I ask just making sure I heard that correctly.

"Yes."

"Are you kidding me? I've only wanted to do that for years now. Of course we can bring down the barrier. How long has this been on your mind?"

"Since I found out I was pregnant." She said looking down at the slightest baby bump.

"Let me guess. You want our child to grow up in a world thats not divided?" I knew her too well.

"That, and I want our child to grow up knowing both sides of its family. Don't get me wrong, Belle and Adam have been the best role models and all, but it makes me miss my parents. I want my child to know both of their grandparents." She started to grow tears in her eyes.

"Hey, hey. There's no need to cry. I totally understand. Ill call a meeting for tomorrow and I want you to come. I think it's time that we unite our two worlds, once and for all." I pulled her into a hug, kissing the top of her head, and letting her cry. Hormones I guess. After a few minutes the tears stopped and we just stood there in silence. Well until I decided to break it.

"Mal?"

"Yes?"

"Who's your father?" She still has never told me who her father was. I know my parents knew because well apparently my dad knew him, but he never told me. He told me Mal would tell me when she's ready.

A few minutes went by and I still didn't get an answer. She walked back over to the window and stared at the isle.

"Mal?" I asked again.

"Hades."

My mind went to complete utter shock. Hades was her father. She's half fairy and demigod.

"Woah!"

"I know, but Ben the only other person I ever told was Evie. And I know your dad knows, but I'd like to keep it that way for now. He abandoned me when I was a baby, so I never really considered him to be my father, but maybe, just maybe he changed."

"Let's hope so."

"What is she doing here?" Grumpy asks as soon as Mal walked in.

"She's here, because Mal and I have something to discuss with you all. I don't need any of your permission to do what we want to do, it's up to Mal and I, so all I'm asking is that you hear us out?" The table was filled with silence. So I went ahead and gave Mal the go ahead.

"We want to bring the barrier down." Mal began. I saw faces go completely pale, and some who wanted to say stuff, but I quickly raised my hand to stop them.

"It's time that this world become undivided. Those villains that you sentenced to the isle are not the bad guys. All of you have told your side of the stories, but did you ever consider hearing their side of the story. I know I have. And even after 20 years of being locked away, not just some, but most of the villains had children, some even married, but all of you were to blind to realize that you are the true villains here. Aurora do even know why my mother put a curse on you?" All eyes we're turned towards her.

"Because she was upset that she didn't get invited to my crisining."

"Now see that's the story your parents told you. You wanna know what actually happened between your father and my mother?" Our head turned back to Aurora.

"Sure."

"Your father and Maleficent knew each other since they were 10. They fell in love by the age of 16, and when your father had the chance to become king, he batread her."

Aurora went silent. Everyone went silent. Not even I knew that.

" You leaving all of us "V.k's" on that isle to suffer with your scrapes and some of us growing up litterly in the streets. It's time for change, and that change needs to happen. I'm not gonna stand here and tell you it's going to be easy, it will be hard, but you need to learn to except it." Spoken like a true queen.

"Any comments?" I turned my head towards them. Everyone shook their heads. Mal and I smiled at each other. I grabbed her hand a gave it a tight squeeze.

"Alright then, it's settled. The barrier will come down the afternoon after Mals coronation. Meeting adjourned."

That evening Mal and I call up our friends and decided to meet up at our favorite restaurant to tell them the good news. We got to talking and when Mal looked over at me I nodded my head giving her the go ahead.

"We're bringing down the barrier." Mal said. The table went from chatty to silent in the matter of seconds.

"The what is coming down?" Carlos ask.

"The barrier is coming down." Mal explained.

"Are you serious?" Evie asked.

"I am." Evie immediately tackled her in a hug. Almost pushed me out of the booth.

"This is amazing!" Evie almost yelled.

"Okay Evie calm down. We can't have everyone hearing us." I said.

"Okay, okay."

"What do the rest of you think?" Mal asked.

"I think it's about damn time." Jay says making all of us laugh.

"I'll second that." Carlos says.

"Doug, Lonnie, Jane." I asked looking over at them.

"I say hells yas." Lonnie said raising her glass, making all of us laugh again.

"Me too." Doug and Jane both said at the same time.

"Well cheers, to finally uniting our worlds after so damn long." Mal says raising her cup with the rest of us joining in.

"Cheers." Everyone says.

When Mal and I went home, we were eagerly greeted by a puppy Ben. He was so happy to see Mal. Mal picked him up and put him on the bed, and after she was done getting ready she sat on the bed playing with Ben and his toys.

Mals P. O. V.
It was nice to just sit down and play with puppy Ben. He was so hyper. It was very cute seeing him try to get the toy I was holding up in the air. But after awhile he got tired, so he went a laid down on his bed, and by the time that happened Ben was coming out of the bathroom with his wet hair. He came over and jumped on the bed pulling me down with him.

"Now let me talk to my child." He says. He does this every night before we go to bed. I lay down and he starts to talk to our child like it were actually here.

"Hi baby beast. It's your daddy... again. Your ten weeks now, 30 weeks to go. Your mommy and I can't wait to meet you. Neither can your grandma and grandpa, and your aunts and uncles. Your very loved and I hope you never forget that. Now don't keep your mommy up all night like you've been doing. Daddy loves you." He says kissing my stomach.

"Your such a dork." I tell him.

"Yeah, your dork." He says giving me a kiss goodnight. "I love you."

"You talking to me or baby beast?" He sat there for a few seconds pretending to think about it.

"Both." He says.

"I love you too."
