Its a terrifying feeling waiting in the waiting room. Waiting for a love one to come out of surgery. Waiting for hours with no news.
When waiting for so long, you start to loose hope. Hope that they will come out alive. Hope that they'll recover. But what's worse about waiting, is the fact that knowing you might not be okay. Thinking of the fact that you'll leave a hospital. Never to see your loved one except at their funeral. Knowing the fact that you'll never talk, hug, kiss, or love them anymore.
For Ben all of this was going through his head. It's been hours and he still hasn't heard anything. Ben had already had a mental breakdown. Jay had to call his parents to let them know what
was going on. They had immediately came over. Now it was Ben, Jay, Carlos, Belle, and Adam sitting in the waiting room. Doug had went to go sit with Evie, despite Doug's wishes the doctors had already told Evie what was going on with Mal. She had started to freak out. It took Doug a couple of hours to calm her down. But even with that she had another episode, so she wasn't really calm down by the time she went to sleep.
Audrey was awake but in a lot of pain. She escaped with some fractured ribs, a concussion, a broken arm, and some cuts and bruises. She was going to stay in the hospital for a couple more days.
Jane was doing better. She's in minor pain. But the doctors told her she could go home tomorrow, but would be on bed rest, and as much as Carlos wanted to, Jane told Carlos to:
"Go stay with Mal, I'll be fine. I have my mother and I know how much Mal means to you. "
Carlos couldn't argue with her. Mal was like a sister to him.
Lonnie was still in a coma. Her parents had been in and out. They spent the first night here, but had to go back, Jay ashuring them that he would call the moment anything changed. But without news for a couple of days, they got tired of waiting and came back.
Jay on the other hand was not so okay. His girlfriend was in the hospital in a coma, and his sister was in surgery not knowing if she was going to make it out alive.
Belle and Adam were very worried about their son. They were happy that he had finally gone home and took a shower and got some sleep. But they didn't know if he was going to be okay after this. They knew how much Ben loves Mal, and it would break him if he ever lost her.
It had been a few more hours before they heard anything, but when the doctor came out Ben didn't move he sat there. But he over heard the doctor.
"She's stable, we were able to stop the internal bleeding. But that was all we were able to do. But while we were doing so we noticed that her kidneys are starting to fail. Which means we do need a kidney transplant. But since she is such critical condition, we dont think we have time to wait. So since you can live of of one, does anyone here want to donate....... "
"Take me." Was all that was heard from Ben. It was the first time he talked in hours.
"Ben...... " His mother was trying to tell him that it wasn't that easy.
"No. I know you have to do testing and all, but I know her blood type and I have the same blood type. I'm 18. I have perfect health."
"Ben no....... " His father started.
"No. I'm 18 it's my decision." Ben said sternly.
"Okay." Was all his parents said.
"Are you sure your majesty?" The doctor asked.
"It's Mal. Of course I'm sure."
"Okay, follow me."
Ben was right. He was 18, it is his decision. As much as Ben's parents disagreed with him, he was gonna do it anyways.
