April.
"Are you okay?" Blue-eyed girl in front of me asked.
I nodded still slightly confused about everything. I was sure I heard Christian calling me but he was not here.
Infirmary was buzzed with people gossiping in whispers and few of them were throwing pitiful glances at me now an then. What the hell? People who didn't even know I existed in this school was now suddenly aware of my small presence.
I remembered that girl Sophia who caused this in the first place. My searched for her but couldn't spot her anywhere.
"April!" A shrill cut through all the low whispers and Leah came in, pushing the people out of her way to random directions.
"Thank God." She quickly made her way to me. The girl in front of me got up and Leah filled the seat.
"You okay sweetie?" She said rubbing her palm over mine. "Who did this?"
"A girl called Sophia." I muttered.
"Who is that bitch and what does she want now." Leah unintentionally squeezed my palm as anger rose in her eyes.
"No April you're mistaken." The girl who stood beside us spoke. "It was Christian McKinney."
"What?" I shouted. Why was she blaming him? Did someone want to make him look bad that much?
"Who told you?" I demanded.
"A girl I don't know. she said he attacked you when you were alone in the library." The girl spoke as if Christian was some monster.
I rolled my fists unable to suppress my anger."That's a lie. He didn't do anything!" Leah gave me a look and it meant calm down.
"She's fine now so you can leave and tell those people to do the same." Leah pointed at the students around us, still gossiping about something.
After a minute it was just the two of us in that room.
"Let's go home." Leah said picking up her bag. I expected her to blame Christian again as she heard his name but she didn't.
On the way back home I kept wondering where Christian was. I knew he was the one who carried me to infirmary. Then why wasn't he there when I woke up?
Leah was driving quietly until suddenly her phone rang and she gestured me to pick it. "It's Jayson probably." She said keeping her eyes on the road.
"Hello?"
"April?!" It indeed was Jayson.
"Hey." I felt nervous all of sudden. I was hearing his voice after a while.
"Oh God. Are you okay?" I got confused and nudged Lee in the arm. "How does he always know everything?" I whispered. Leah rolled her eyes. "I was talking to him when I heard that you were in infirmary." Oh great.
"I'm fine. Don't worry. Leah is here remember?" I heard a long sigh at the other end. I deliberately didn't talk to Jayson past two months. It was straight away awkward and impossible for me to forget what he did so I just avoided it. Today however I didn't have a choice and it was nice to hear his voice.
"That's why I'm more worried." He joked and laughed. I smiled to myself.
"How are you Jayson?"
