when i make it upstairs, i open the door to see allissa facing me with her hand over her mouth.

me: *whispers* allissa...? you good?
allissa: ...i saw that.

she grabs my hands and starts quietly squealing. how she was reacting was how i was feeling inside.

me: dude i don't even know what just happened.
allissa: i went to meet you downstairs for a drink too and i saw y'all having a moment and then boom. he just kissed you.
me: i mean i've been kind of waiting for it. i need to talk to you tomorrow about something though.

i needed to get her advice on what to do. because now that this happened, i'm just falling deeper into this. i'm soooo so happy, but confused.

allissa: for sure *smiles*
charlie: what are you two squealing about.
allissa: oh, just-i'm off work tomorrow.

allissa read my mind. i don't want anything said yet because cynthia is here and i also don't want everyone to know.

allissa's POV:

i knew she didn't want everyone to know what was going on yet and it wasn't my place to spread it around. but, i was actually really happy that kate went for it and didn't back away from josh. i see the way she looks at him and how she acts when he's around. i've never seen her this happy before about a guy. it was just different with josh..the way she talked about him. i think she really does like him. i honestly couldn't be happier for her. i know she's nervous because of what happened last time, but he is nothing like jake...

*after a few hours*

kate's POV:

ive been laying awake, staring at the ceiling. i couldn't sleep. i open my eyes when i feel my phone vibrating under my pillow. i reach for it and when i look at the screen, i see josh is calling me.

me: hey, why are you calling me? are you okay?
josh: i can't sleep.
me: me either honestly.
josh: wanna come hang with me in my room for a bit?
me: sure *smiling*

i hang up and try to quietly walk out of the room and down the hall. i get to josh's room and open the door, seeing him laying on his bed on his phone. he looks up at me and smiles. i walk over and sit on the bed next to him.

me: miss me already?
josh: read my mind.
me: *laughs* wanna make tiktoks?
josh: you know me so well.
me: well...you kinda just happen to be a famous tiktoker.
josh: i mean, true.

we both get up and start making tiktoks. he posts one of us doing a cute couple dance and people immediately start commenting about us, asking who i am and if we're dating.

josh: hey, we should make you a tiktok account.
me: uhh..no. i'd suck at it.
josh: no you wouldn't.
me: it would just be embarrassing and cringe...
josh: no it wouldn't. give me your phone *says politely*
me: nope.

i put my phone behind my back. he scoots closer and tries to grab it behind me. we play wrestle for a minute and eventually he lays me back on the bed and finally grabs it from my hands while he's on top of me.

me: noooo! josh-
josh: *laughs* i got ittttt
me: i don't think so.

i sit up fast and push him down on the bed and yank it from his hands. i jump off the bed and attempt to run to the door, but i feel his arms rap around my waist from behind me. i turn and he has me pinned against the wall. he smirks at me and we stand there looking into each other's eyes for a moment.

me: okay, i'll make a tiktok account if you promise me something.
josh: and what's that?
me: promise me.....*thinks*..you'll take me to the empire state building. *laughs*
josh: i promise *smiles*
me: wait actually?
josh: yeah, i would love to.
me: i was kinda joking, but-
josh: -it's a date.

did he just say..date? well i didn't mean for it to go that far, but okay. i mean he's said that before right?

we were filming my first tiktok for my account and it was me and josh doing the renegade dance, but i tripped on a charger cord that made me fall over and he caught me. the ending was me in his arms and us staring into each other's eyes laughing. i decided to post it because it turned out really funny. we were laying on his bed, scrolling through comments...

my phone started blowing up with notifications, one after the other. people were hating, shipping us, asking how i got with him. josh leans over and puts his chin on my shoulder.

josh: you cold?

i'm only in a huge t-shirt and spandex so i was actually really cold.

me: very *laughs*

he takes off his sweatshirt, leaving him shirtless and only in his adidas joggers. i put the hoodie on and it smelled just like him, and was warm from his body heat. we talked for a bit and we decided to watch a movie. we eventually were cuddling under the blankets and nearly falling asleep. i was laying on his chest, his chin resting on my head and his arm around me. i couldn't hold my eyes open anymore. they slowly shut and i drifted off to sleep.

josh's POV:

i looked down to see her laying on my chest, sleeping so peacefully, i didn't want to make any sudden moves to wake her. i wanted to talk to her about the kiss and how she feels about me. i just didn't know how she felt about the kiss yet since it just happened.. i couldn't get it off my mind. she drives me crazy, she's so beautiful, fun to be around, her smile is contagious, and she makes me feel so different and happy. it's a kind of happiness i've never really experienced..and i'm addicted to the feeling of being with her...

i lightly kissed her head and whispered,

"i think i'm falling for you".
