josh and i enter the house and we see everyone hanging out in the living room.

bryce: yo josh! cynthia, addison, charlie and avani just got in.
josh: ayeeee guys!

i didn't know who any of these people were. josh walks up and starts giving hugs to all the girls as i put the food on the kitchen counter. i assumed they were more tiktokers. i see a guy walk up to me, he must be griffin.

griffin: heyyy i'm griffin. i don't think we've ever actually met yet.
me: oh my god hi, yes i've seen your tiktoks so i kinda know who you are now *laughs*
griffin: so i guess you found out we're all tiktokers.
me: i think it's really awesome. i'm trying to find out who everyone is *laughs*
griffin: yeah there's even more than this group. those girls there, that ones cynthia..
*he points to each one*
me: okay cool, i'll try to remember that. which i doubt *laughs*

i walk back to josh, who is talking to one of the girls.

avani: josh what happened to your face?
josh: what's wrong with it?
avani: you have a bandage.
josh: ohhh, yeah i got into a fight..actually saving this girl *puts his arm around me* from this jackass at the store trying to get with her.
avani: damn. so who's this pretty chick here?
me: *laughs* i'm just kate. and you are?
avani: i'm avani, it's nice to meet youuu

she politely hugs me and i can already tell we're going to hit it off. she's super chill. josh leaves and starts hanging with the guys.

avani: how did you get here to the group. i don't think i've heard of you before?
me: i'm actually not really apart of the "social media group". i'm just staying here in new york with my friend allissa. we met josh first because he stole allissa and i's cab our first weekend here.

i tell addison, charlie and avani the whole story and how we've been hanging out. allissa walks up and joins our group. she nudges my arm..

allissa: *whispers* what happened to josh's face?
me: you won't believe what happened dude.
allissa: oh no...
me: i was being attacked by this guy at the store and josh got involved. as u can see, it got a bit physical.
allissa: oh my god are you okay?
me: yes yes i'm fine i swear. i was just scared he was gonna get hurt.

allissa gives me an "awhhh" kinda look and i roll my eyes. i look up and see cynthia joining our group.

cynthia: so josh just let you and your friend in the group huh?

okay rude.

me: well he felt bad because of an incident and we all just kind of became friends after. josh was super nice and invited allissa and i to hang out with the group.

cynthia looks me up and down and calls josh over. he walks up and smiles when he sees me. i try to say something but cynthia interupts..

me: hey jo-
cynthia: -josh can you show me where the drinks are?
josh: ..uh, yeah. sure.

i think we can already tell who the bitch is in this group. as they walk away, i can see that cynthia obviously likes him and it looked like she was flirting with him, but couldn't tell if he was flirting back. my eyes focus back to the group and addison gives me a look.

addison: yeah..so that's cynthia. just a warning, she can be a bitch sometimes.
charlie: especially to people that are close with josh....like you.
me: like me?
avani: yep. you will realize that the more you hang out here.
me: why, though?
charlie: she's always liked him and isn't low key about it. she thinks she can get any guy she wants, taken or not.
me: well, bitches will be bitches i guess.
avani: i love you already.

we all laugh. i liked this group of girls. they were so nice and welcoming and it was definitely nice to have some more girl friends.

anthony: the popcorn is done!
