you sat up and looked at the clock. it was 2:49. you knew what was going to happen when the clock struck 3:00, but there was no stopping it. you watched silently as the hands on the clock moved in a slow circle until it read 2:59. your body trembled and you stood up from the bed. when 3:00 came you felt your limbs turn to jelly until you felt like you weren't you anymore. you were just a transparent being that couldn't do anything to stop what were to happen. you watched in terror as your body controlled itself. it had a mind of its own, you might say. it crept down the stairs of your house and walked out onto the streets, smiling devilishly at all of the ghosts being tortured outside. "stop!" you shouted at it. it looked right at you as if you were still there. "you're doing this. i couldn't possibly control myself, you're the brain. this is your doing. you did this." it pointed around at all of the ghosts outside. "no! I could never! why would i-" you got cut off. "there's no stopping it." it looked down the street and started to walk, grinning at all of the ghosts around it. the ghosts fell back into the ground and the sky which was tinted in red was now back to its normal color. you sank into your body and gained control once more, but your mind went blank and for about an hour you walked around aimlessly, no memory of what you did or what happened. the longest hour of the year was passed when the clock struck 4:00. you looked around and realised you were lost. you lost yourself. you fell to your knees, your blood-covered hands trembled in front of you and tears fell down your face. "what have I done?"
