Claire lived her life happily within the town without a name. Everything leading up to the moments before the incident were fine. She lead the life of any other, no significance to it. The moment itself, however, destroyed the thin vale of perfection that had been laid on Claire's eyes. It was an indescribable moment. The bullet exited the chamber. Something undoable occurred. You can't unsee the very elements embedded into your life be proven false. She had only been walking. It was just a case of bad timing. They didn't know she would walk when she did. 𝗡𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘄. Claire wasn't supposed to go to the post office at 3. She was supposed to be at work. That's where she is every day at 3. That day was different. She hadn't told anyone about this secret letter she was sending to a friend who lived outside of her town. No one caught her leaving. They should have. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲. No one saw her get into her car. No one saw her exit the car. No one saw her open the door and enter, but when they did... 𝗢𝗵 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗱. They had left the elevator open, which to our misfortune, revealed the crew with microphones and equipment on the other side. No one had to say it. We all knew she saw it too. She didn't say anything when she did, though. She simply walked back out. Shortly after, she booked a flight out of the town and packed her things. 𝗦𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁. She attended work the next day, with plans of leaving immediately after. To her surprise, when she came home, all of her things were strewn about her driveway. On her garage door was written 'we know you saw it.' We don't know where she went after that. And with that, Claire if you're reading this please return to us. We apologize profusely for what happened. It won't happen again. 𝗡𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻.
