Chapter Four
⚡️

"PLEASE NO, PLEASE NO," ELIZABETH WHISPERED FEARFULLY AS SHE SHOVED PAST TONY AND PUSHED THE TOWERING DOORS OF THE NEW YORK SANCTUM OPEN. Immediately, she was hit by the powerful stench of crumbling materials as powerful winds circled through the streets and created a thin layer of dust in the atmosphere.

Ignoring Wong yelling her name, Elizabeth shoved past Tony and dashed away in a flash of yellow speedforce aura, her blurred figure being the least of the civilians problems as she searched for the source of the chaos. She skidded out from the corner of the building, ducking as a stop sign soared over her head, barely missing her smaller figure as she stared up at the circular ship that spun rapidly as it descended to the earth.

Her hair fell off her shoulder and blew wildly behind her, her loose shirt blowing vigorously in the powerful winds that aimed for her. "Gideon..." she whispered, pulling her wrist up so the AI could hear her timid voice.

Her arm visibly trembled as she looked down at the wrist computer find Gideon's translucent face waiting expectingly for a command, Elizabeth sudden increased heartrate being monitored off to the side. It was going too fast, even for a speedster's standards.

"Please tell me that isn't what I think it is..." she requested softly, her teary gaze lifting to look up at the towering piece of machinery that loomed over her menacingly.

"I'm afraid I cannot, Elizabeth. I am truly sorry."

The speedster felt a sudden wave of panic wash over her again, a pressure resting on her chest as she watched the large ship set down on the streets. She only snapped out of it when Stephen appeared with a hand resting on her shoulder, snapping his fingers in front of her eyes. Tony, Bruce and Wong were further ahead with FRIDAY supplying all the information it could find and obeying any instructions Tony spat out.

"Where's your suit?" Stephen asked sternly, wanting nothing more then to get Elizabeth away from the ship, understanding that it was apart of the overarching threat of Thanos. If not, they were about to have an abundance of struggles and danger.

"A-At the warehouse," Elizabeth stammered as she shifted her head to look warily over the sorcerer's shoulder.

Stephen nodded. "Go get it, and get as many people as you can to a safe distance-"

"B-But, you don't know what-"

"Elizabeth," he scolded, his voice stern. "Do as I say."

She sighed, clenching her hands into fists as she looked to the side. Elizabeth fought back the urge to refuse and instead followed Stephen command and nodded respectfully. "Just... Stay safe... Please?" she begged as she looked back at him, a shimmering to her anxious gave. .

Stephen gave her a small reasurring smile. "I will, you focus on saving as many people as you can."

Reluctantly, Elizabeth obeyed, taking one last look at the ship before launching herself down the street. Yellow lightning scorched the ashphalt as Elizabeth zoomed up and down the streets, pushing herself to be at her highest speed. People disappeared in the blink of an eye, Elizabeth speeding over the roads and buildings, getting rid of any innocent bystanders in her path as well as clearing the nearby building and pulling the civillians to safe distances.
