i got up at like 7 this morning. nothing can wake me up early like a good shout fest downstairs.
"¿Por qué nunca ayudas por aquí?" (why don't you ever help around here?) my mom shouted at my dad.
"buenos días to you too mamá"i said, grabbing an energy bar out of the cupboard.
"buenos días mi dulce corazón," my dad said, hugging me.
i went upstairs and began to get ready for school. i don't use much makeup. i normally put concealer around my eyes to cover my bags.
i put cloud paint on my cheeks and began putting mascara. i brushed my hair and decided to just leave it.
i put on jeans and a light pink colored crop top. i sprayed my perfume and grabbed my backpack.
i said goodbye to my parents and began driving myself to school. it was about a 15 minute drive. i played my playlist that always puts me in a good mood.
at a stoplight, i felt eyes on me. i looked to my right and noticed a very attractive guy looking at me. he looked kind of familiar, like he would be on tiktok.
i smiled at him and he smiled back. dang, boys got a cute smile too.
the light turned green and we both began turning the same way. did we go to the same school? shit. good thing i put a little effort in today.
i parked in my normal spot and got my phone out since i was early.
i texted claire.

i saw claire's car pull in next to mine. i looked at her and did wide eyes as we both got out of our cars.
i grabbed my back pack and slung it over my shoulder. i ran up next to her as we walked into the school.
"do you know his name?" she asked me. "no, i just saw him at a light and we both smiled then both drove to the school."
"love at first sight?" she asked, and i rolled my eyes. "as if." i said, looking up.
"there he is," i said nodding to him.
she hit my arm. "you dumb bitch. that's troy zarba." oh shit. i threw my head back. "i have no chance do i," i said, as she shook her head. "worth a shot though," she said, pulling my arm and walking towards him.
"claire stop," i demanded as she kept walking towards him, not loosening her grip. i groaned, there was no way out of this.
"hi," claire said to him. he turned and looked at me, then smiled.
"hey, i saw you at the light this morning," he said. i nodded.
"troy this is my best friend blair garcia, blair troy, troy blair." claire said pointing back and forth to us.
"nice to meet you troy," i said. i sound like a fucking idiot.
"hey so i have my first soccer game tonight if you'd want to come watch. it's at 6:30 here," he said.
"well definetly be there. see you then." she said waving and walking away.
"you're welcome," she said. i shook my head and laughed.
