No One's POV

"Nee-sama? Are you going somewhere?" Leah walked to the entryway, looking for her sister in her pajamas.

"Work. I'm going to work." Sarah answered, putting on her shoes.

"Aren't you going to spend the new years celebration with me this year?" Leah rubbed her eyes as to help her get fully awake.

"You know my work. I still have to work on holidays. Besides there's a double pay when working during holidays." Sarah put on her winter coat.

"Are you going to come home early?"

"Most probably not. I'm going to go to my girlfriends house right after. It's also her birthday. Why don't you go there too? They wouldn't absolutely mind you going there with Ruby there."

"I'll be going later. Alright, see you later nee-sama." Leah yawned and went to the kitchen as she was feeling hungry.

"I'm off." Sarah got out of the house and went directly to her workplace, a police station.

It was finally late in the afternoon, the female officer went to their heads' office to ask for something.

"Sir, can I leave early today? I promised someone I'd spend new years with them." She politely asked with a little bow, signifying respect.

"Sure thing. There's not much to do anyway and you've done your quota for today. Have fun, officer." The blue haired woman with amber eyes replied with a smile.

"Aren't you going home soon too, sir?" Sarah asked out of curiosity because she rarely sees their captain out of her office.

"Oh, I'll be. She will be here to pick me up." Her captain nonchalantly replied.

"Your wife, sir?"

"Of course." Her captains' cheerfulness was beaming, it also made her smile.

"You too sir, have fun. Then, I'll take my leave. Thank you sir." Sarah politely took her leave and left the room, meeting her captains wife on the way out of the station.

"Good evening, ma'am." Sarah greeted before passing by the woman. The woman only greeted back with a smile as it seems as she was in a hurry.

'I better buy a present or something. Good thing captain was in a good mood. If it was not I think I wouldn't have been able to have left this early. I still have time too. Let's do that.' Sarah thought walking on the streets and occasionally looking into the stores to look for a suitable gift for her girlfriend.

'This is beautiful. This will do.' Sarah thought as she picked up a certain accessory.

"Excuse me, I'll get this. Can I get this wrapped too?" Sarah raised the accessory she was holding.

"Of course." The raven haired clerk smiled as she had an idea on what it was for.

"Here it is, ma'am. Pretty and neat." The clerk handed over the now wrapped accessory as she received the payment.

"Thanks." Sarah smiled at seeing her gift and left the raven haired's shop. The clerk even waved her goodbye.

"Happy holidays, ma'am!" Sarah only smiled at this and walked her own way to her destination.

*dingdong*

A crash was heard inside the household, or should I say apartment. As soon as the door was opened, the person who opened door received a hug and a couple of kisses.

"S-sarah-san? Please stop that and get in. It's cold outside."

"Come on, Dia. We rarely see each other. Forgive me for doing that."
