Mari's POV

Kanan's been gone for over half an hour already. What's taking her so long?

*ring* *ring* -beep- -beep-

She's not even picking up her phone.

It's even our date in a long while after the exams we had in the last month. It seems that she had a lot going on in her hands over the past month.

So, now just where is that muscle head?

Ah, I see a familiar blue hair. It's... not in a... ponytail!?

Wait, let's take a deep breath and calm down.

"Excuse me..." I lowly said as I tapped the shoulder of the blue haired, which she faced me in annoyance as her response.

"I'm sorry for that, so what is it?" She quickly changed her expression from. that of an irritated face to that of a smile.

"It seems I got the wrong person. I'm looking for someone who has blue hair like yours but in a bit of a lighter color and is tied in a ponytail." I replied back, returning the smile she showed me.

"Is that the person you're looking for?" She pointed to the person who was behind the ornament this person was hiding, or was she?

When I looked over, it was really her and a long haired ashen?

"I'm sorry if it's rude for me to say, may I ask for your name miss...?" I squinted my eyes as I looked at the expression Kanan was having. Just what are they doing?

"It's not rude, I'm Umi Sonoda. In return, can you tell me yours?" She replied in a serious manner, clenching her fist. She looks like she could really kill someone.

"I'm Mari Ohara. Just call me Mari. Is that ashen an acquaintance of yours, I presume."

"Yes, she is. I was looking for her as we were separated from that crowd earlier and I just found her here." She sighed.

"My blue haired friend said she needed to go to the restroom and I thought that she was gone for too long so, I went looking for her and this is what I get to see!?" I was catching my breath, anger getting into my way of speaking.

"Please calm down, Mari-san. I'm just as pissed off as you are. Not towards Kotori though, she's too pure to be that impure." There seems to be a dark aura surrounding her presence and looked like she was ready to punch someone in the face.

"No, no, I can't go having you punch Kanan, Umi-san. I'll have to punch her myself." I replied, putting my hand on her shoulder. Though, I would be the one getting hurt. She works that body of hers to the bone.

"So what should we do now?" She tried to calm herself down as she returned to her place I found her earlier, peeping to the side to see if there was anything suspicious going on.

"You have a phone right? Have you thought of using that to distract them or something? Calling?" I asked, showing her my phone, getting ready to dial Kanan's phone number.

"Ah, right. I almost forgot about that." She quickly went to look for her phone in her pockets. "Here it is. I should just press this and there. Call."

How come I haven't thought of this earlier? How stupid of me?

*beep*

"Hello, Umi-chan?"

"Kotori, where are you?"

"I completely forgot I have a phone, Umi-chan. I'm at the center of the mall I think."

"Yes, I see you. I'm hanging up now."

"Umi-chan!" The long haired ashen raised one hand and was waving it excitedly.

"Thanks for the help Mari-san. I'll be taking my leave then." She bowed her head down a bit and left with a smile.

"No problem. I'll be going to my Kanan. Have fun for the rest of your day, Umi-san." I returned her a small bow for formalities sake.

"You too." She then showed me a smile and left, the ashen putting her arm around the blue haired with a bug smile which brought Umi-san to be a bit flustered.

I actually left my phone out on call, letting her hear the conversation we were having and did not answer her.

"Kanan." I called, slowly putting the distance between us smaller.

"Mari." She called back, somehow in a reluctant manner.

"So what was that?" I finally asked, crossing my arms.

"Nothing. We just sort of got lost together." She answered as she finally got to relax as I was putting my arms between her arm with a pout.

"Hm? Looks like you were having a lot of fun to me..." I commented with a low voice, still pouting.

"Did it appear to you that way?" She chuckled.

"Yeah." I replied honestly with a slight nod.

"We were talking about you guys, maybe that was what made it fun, I think." She admitted.

"Us? Me and Umi-san?" I looked to her face in question.

"Yeah." She replied with a smile on her face.

"If you say so. I'll just ask for a hug for now, since we're out in the public." I whispered to her ear as I was pulling her down.

"Then, here!" She had a big wide smile on her face as she stretched out both of her arms in joy.

I immediately went to reciprocate the hug and buried myself into her chest.

"You're mine, so don't do something similar again as it will make me misunderstand the situation." I murmured in her chest which I was sure she heard.

"Sure, sure. I promise I won't do it again." She tightened the hug and I felt her breath against my ear. "I'll make sure you won't misunderstand anything anymore. I'll make things more clear when we get home." At this, I went beet red and excited at the same time.

"K-kanan, don't say it that way." I broke away from the hug and was covering my face from embarrassment.

"What? I didn't say anything of the specific." She laughed.

"Gosh, Kanan."
