24. Phoenix (Part 1)

Story summary:

Once upon a bright star,
A calamity crosses.
Hit by passing meteor,
Becoming but a small planet.

Through years and years,
Life begins to come,
Land and seas,
Trees and shrubs.

All kinds of life come to life,
And humans arrive.
Filling all the while,
Making it a better place for them.

A group of nine people come,
They are known as u's.
They came to help,
Not the people but the lands of the planet known as Earth.

They cleansed the lands,
Regrew forests,
And taught people how to live with nature,
After which they're done and sleep.

After the reign of u's,
Comes another group of nine,
They call themselves Aquors,
And have come to aid the seas.

Ruby's POV

Dia: Ruby! Breakfast is ready!
Ruby: Coming!

Dia: Were you reading that story again?
Ruby: Yes, onee-chan.
Dia: Anyway, let's eat breakfast.

I nod at my older sister and we pray for a bit. While eating, I kept thinking about the story which I read again.For some reason, I just feel a connection to the story.

Dia: Let's go to school.
Ruby: Ok.

We go to our school, Uranohoshi Academy. On the way, we meet with Hanamaru.

Hanamaru: Good mlrning, Ruby-chan, Dia-chan.
Ruby: Good morning, Hanamaru-chan.
Dia: Good morning, Hanamaru.

We went to school and had class. During lunch break, the nine of us (You, Chika, Riko, Yoshiko, Hanamaru, Ruby, Dia, Kanan, and Mari) ate lunch at the rooftop and all of a sudden rain came pouring down on us.

You's POV

Yoshiko: What is this phenomenon?! I can feel the water falling on me but, I'm not wet?
Hanamaru: What is this barrier around me?
Ruby: For some reason, the only water that gets to me is very clear and clean.
Riko: The water around me is creating a melody...
You: Why is it that the rainwater is on top of me in the form of an idol uniform?
Chika: The water evaporates before it reaches me?
Mari: The water is freezing.
Kanan: The water is healing my wounds from yestarday when I trip?
Dia: It seems that I can control the water.

On that day, all of us discovered our powers. All of us were shocked to find out about our powers. We agreed to meet again after school to discuss about what happened because the bell already rung.

After school all nine of met again but we also agreed on staying in Chika-chan's house to have a sleepover. So, we meet again at Chika-chan's house to discuss about what happened during lunch break.

Dia: I think that the story that Ruby likes reading is real.
Ruby: It states in the last part of the story that, "All the reincarnations of the group will manifest a power unbelievable".
Kanan: I think that it explains the sudden manifestation of our powers.
Mari: I agree.

Ruby-chan elaborated on what she had read after she was finished explaining, all of us agreed to agree with Dia-chan and Ruby-chan's theory. But...

You: This means that a calamity is coming, isn't it?
Riko: Probably. I mean it said so in the story which seemed more and more like a prophecy to our situation right now.
Mari: Anyway, it's no use wondering if it's real or not. We just need to wait and see.
Yoshiko: But it's never dangerous to prepare, right?
Chika: Everyone! Dinner is ready!

We ate dinner because Chika-chan said that dinner was ready.

Kanan's POV

After eating dinner which Chika-chan's family prepared, we thank them for preparing food for us and letting us stay here for the night. After which, we go back to where we were before to discuss further about our powers.

Ruby: I actually brought my book which is about the Legend of u's and Aquors.
Hanamaru: I actually also brought a copy of the same book.
Yoshiko: That's good, since there are nine of us here. And I also happen to have a copy of one.
Mari: Let's read it.
