Yuu's POV

Again.

Just where could have she gone off to? She's not in the usual places I could easily find her. Also Kanata-san had said that she's not in the clubroom.

It might have been for the best if I had stayed by her side this morning. Now I don't know where to find her. Damn school, why are you so damn big.

Well, I have to thank Kasumi-chan for that. She had pulled me away from her the moment she saw me. It's not that I hate that kind of attention. It's just that, I promised to Ayumu that I'll be spending most of the day with her.

"Thank you, Mrs. Uehara."

I put down my phone from ear in haste and returned it back into my pocket, lingering a bit on the phone strap she gave me.

'She's still not home! I have to find her quick!'

I dashed off my feet and turned every corner with the anticipation to see an Ayumu, but it was a disappointment every time.

"Yuu! You're out of breath! You should at least drink some water." The girl who called gave me a bottle of water.

"Thanks, Setsuna-san. I don't have all night to find her so I'm using all my energy for it." I gasped for air and held my knees to regain some energy.

"If it's Ayumu-san, I think I saw her going to the rooftop." She took the emptied bottle from my hands.

"Of course! How could I have not thought of that! I'm an idiot!" I ruffled my own hair in frustration. Here I was wasting a lot of energy running around the school campus grounds and it never flashed my line of thought to go to the rooftop. "Thanks a lot Setsuna!" I held her shoulders, grip tightening for a moment, I immediately took my hands off them and dashed again for the stairs.

"No problem, Yuu!" She shouted to let me hear it.

When I arrived, the sun had almost finished setting. Her back was facing the entrance I had just entered, it seemed like she was glowing.

Bam!

"Yuu-chan!" She turned around when she heard the door slam into the door frame. Her face beamed the moment her eyes met mine. Then a pout quickly replaced the beaming smile of hers. "Where had you been?"

"Looking for you. I even called your mom to ask if you had arrived home." An awkward laugh coming out of my mouth as I slowly walked toward my precious childhood friend.

"Ehhh! You called my mom!" She exclaimed in surprise as if that pout was never there.

"If I have to look for you, I need to lessen my options to arrive to a more precise answer. That's why I have arrived now, is it not?" I took my last step to be at just an arms length across Ayumu. A big smile was on my face as I replied back to her exclamation.

"There you go again with that logic of yours." She looked to the side, embarrassed, a smile on her face nonetheless.

I looked around to find a bench. I went to the bench and sat on it. The moment Ayumu had opened her eyes again, I was not in front of her and that made her flustered.

"Ayumu, come here." I patted the space beside me. It was almost cut when she immediately took action towards my direction. But she stood just in front of me and looked down at me for a moment, which was weird. Then she turned around and sat on the floor and took refuge in my legs. "Why are you sitting down there? There's space beside me."

She then rested her head on my lap, my hand on her head had repositioned itself on her forehead. It made me flinch. That was a surprise.

"I wanted to try this. Plus, I succeeded in making you blush, hehe." She giggled and I flinched once again when she mentioned a blush on my face. A blush on my face, really.

I decided to plant my lips on hers to make her be the one all flustered and embarrassed, but it was a double-edged sword.

Well, I did succeed in making it the opposite way. But she turned around and sat on my lap, facing me.

"This is your fault." She said before digging in for another kiss.

I guess this is fine... every once in a while.
