No One's POV

"Is this alright Riko-chan?" You asked as she rested her face on the table.

"It's supposed to be her birthday and she's cooking for us..." Chika added, taking her place beside the ashen.

"Are we gonna be safe from eating that spicy stuff zura?" Hanamaru asked in worry of Ruby taking a dangerous amount of it like what happened last time. Ruby in the meantime was in the verge of tears at remembering how it burned her tongue and was being comforted by her older sister.

"I don't think Ruby has become an adult yet." Dia said in a stern tone but a smile on her face nonetheless. Kanan and Marj absolutely knows that Dia missed spoiling Ruby like that.

"You're one to talk Dia." Kanan was on the verge of laughter and seeing Dia's brow crease just broke Kanan into laughter.

"Kanan shhh!" Mari puts a finger in front of her mouth and faces Kanan with an angry expression.

"It's all fine. Don't worry about it. She wanted to do this. And for the record, I already put away the tabasco sauce and other spicy things she might put on the dish." Riko giggles at the thought of the grumbling Yoshiko from earlier.

"Finished!" A voice not that far from the group exclaimed happily and it just put on gentle smiles on the group.

"I'll go help her prepare." Riko stands from her seat and never forgets to smile before leaving the group to help the person in the kitchen.

The rest of the group looks at each other and smiles. They had the same thought at that very moment. 'They warmed up to each other real quick and living together only closed that gap they had when they were still doing activities.'

Both of them returned, one of them holding the plates and the other the pot of curry the brithday girl prepared herself. Riko looks at the group and somehow felt the weird atmosphere, making her cock her head to the side.

"What are you guys thinking?" Riko asks as she puts down a plate in front of each member.

"That you really suit each other really well." They said in unison and that made Riko blush in return, almost dropping a plate but her partner caught it inn time.

"You have to stop getting all embarrassed in front of them Riko." She put the plate in front of Mari, although a visible light blush is seen on her cheeks as well. The grin on Mari's face widens aw with the rest of the group rather than the feeling of why these two has to have a moment right beside her.

"Thank you for coming here today and freeing up your schedule to come here!" The raven haired suddenly said in an outburst, probably to brush away all the embarrassing atmosphere they are giving off. "Plus it's great seeing us all together like this again."

"So you really did miss us despite all the attention Riko-chan has been giving you, Yoshiko-chan." Ruby rests her chin on her hands with a teasing grin. Hanamaru slides the stray red hair behind Ruby's ears in the meantime.

"S-so what if I did!?" Yoshiko crosses her arms and pouts to the side.

"Enough with all of that. The curry is going to get cold." Riko pats on Yoshiko's head and smiled before taking her seat, pulling Yoshiko down to seat with her.

"The only thing's that changed is you not retorting with 'It's Yohane!' now." Chika comments and giggles as You served for the both of them.

"It's good isn't it." Yoshiko grumbles while chewing on her first bite. "This is still not spicy enough. Riko, where is that sauce?"

"Here you go." Riko gave it to her not a second later.

"Thanks." Yoshiko takes it and sprinkles the sauce into her plate.

"How do you handle those spicy food?" Kanan asked curiously. The others internally screamed yes and the grimace in their faces disappeared.

"It's delicious. Simply delicious." Yoshiko replied and happily took another bite of her own curry.

The group returned back to eating their fill than dwell in asking pointless things that would give them insufficient answers.

After finishing their dinner, Mari and You offered to wash the dishes and was accepted of the offer. The two take the dishes away and stand behind the dishwasher. Then it seemed like Mari said something that made You furiously blush and that only made Mari press for more teasing.

"Here you go, Yoshiko-chan!" Chika hands the called girl a present box. "It's from me and You-chan's. Happy birthday!"

"This is from us. I think Mari went overboard with this though." Kanan scratches the back of her neck as she gave Yoshiko a slightly larger present than that of Chika's and You's gift. "A happy birthday from us too."

"We went with accessories, look forward to what it is Yoshiko-chan." Hanamaru took out a small box from her bag and gives it to the called girl.

"I tried my best making it." Ruby plants her hands on the brunette's shoulders and smiled widely when Yoshiko also did the same. "You'll still call us like usual right?"

"Of course!"

"That's great. We'll be looking forward to the next call. Tell us anything~" Hanamaru said in a teasing tone and resulted in her taking a light hit to the back.

"Yoshiko-san." Dia appears from behind the called girl and the raven haired shrieked. The black haired woman laughed at the reaction and pats another present to the raven haired's forehead.

"Let's hang out sometime soon. I enjoyed the last time we went together to a roller coaster. Those were some amazing reactions you made. Ah, it's tickets to the new amusement park nearby. You can just take Riko-san there yourself too." Dia rambled on and Yoshiko had to go over different emotions from the words spouting out of Dia's mouth.

"I-I'll keep that in mind Dia-san." Yoshiko reluctantly takes the tickets away from the called girl's fingers.

"You scared her again Dia-san." Riko returns to the space from their shared room and wraps her arms around Yoshiko's stomach and plants her chin on Yoshiko's shoulder.

"Riko..."

"You make her terrified sometimes though." Dia retorts.

"That's-" Both Riko and Yoshiko said at the same time.

At that timing, Mari and You finished washing the dishes and arrived at the scene confused. When their partners shortly explained the situation, a new set of teasing grins appeared at the space.

"So you two were into that kind of play..." You intentionally said in a louder volume.

"I'd be glad to listen more about this." Mari moves closer to the couple with a condescending atmosphere around her.

"Sorry about this blonde." Kanan takes Mari back to her side while You receives a light smack on her shoulder from Chika.

"We'll be taking our leave then." Hanamaru said and got the attention of the rest of the group. She takes Ruby's hand in hers and takes their bags with her. "Happy birthday Yoshiko-chan!"

They said before they left. Before long, the rest of them also did the same, leaving the couple in a daze. Riko regains control of herself first and pulls Yoshiko onto the couch with her, making the younger girl sit in her lap in the process. She takes this chance and snuggles closer to her girlfriend, that brought Yoshiko back into the present.

"They really are still the same since the last time we were all together." Yoshiko mumbles fondly as she relaxes into the embrace and puts the presents on the table before them.

"The same could be said for us too." Riko pecks Yoshiko's cheeks and her eyes lands on the presents on the table. "You going to open them yet?"

"Maybe later." Yoshiko replied before she turned around to face the red haired woman. "You're still spoiling me after all."

"That's true."
