_____

After the situation with Giyuu, you soon went off to having bipolar depression for long periods of time.

Training wasn't a problem for you to deal with, but you always felt like you didn't want to do anymore because you couldn't keep Giyuu out of your mind.

You love your brother, and you needed him just as much as he should for you. But with you unable to do the task of reaching him, it was now Tanjiro's job to help.

Soon an idea came into mind.

You came to Mitsuri to ask her a question from her personal experience, and wanted what she had. She was confused at first, but she offered what you needed.

You dyed your hair black.

No this was not for interest. You wanted hair dye; It was to show how you care and want your brother so much. It was an attention seeker meant for him.

Hair dyed down to black, and your very long length hair that a woman would just die for, was cut short to back length hair.

Everyone was confused and surprised to see the new you. Some even asked questions as to why you did something like that to yourself.

"I just felt like it" that was always your answer.

The truth is, you wanted to look like your brother. You wanted to feel close to him as possible.
____
Once Tanjiro was recovered, he went to go see you. He was surprised to see the whole new look of you. He asked why, and so you told him the reason.

Tanjiro was upset to hear that you did it only for Giyuu's attention. To go that far to changing who you are, just didn't sit right with him.

Tanjiro soon told you the reason for your brothers distance, making you even more sad.

"I always thought that if we just had each other, there would be no trouble"
"I'm sure Giyuu thinks that his death would be a good thing. How he wants you, who is precious to him to survive longer than him. If a person dies earlier or dies protecting you, then it feels like your flesh is being gouged out" Tanjiro says.

"...I don't want my brother to die, Tanjiro. Even if he wanted to, he would be leaving me. Just what more could I lose in my family?"

"I know how you feel, it hurts I know. I wouldn't bare that myself"
"Tanjiro...if anything happens to Giyuu, if dying or committed suicide...then I'd might as well kill myself" you said.

Tanjiro eyes widen. His emotions forming such sadness.
"Don't say that! I understand losing someone you care so deeply for is painful, but don't take your life away because you're the last of your family...and just...how do you think I will feel?"

"What if Nezuko died Tanjiro? What would you do then? Tell me"
Tanjiro froze. Your words weren't heard to be taken as offense, at least he was trying not to take it as offense. But they were words of trying to find another route. What other reason was there?

"I don't know...I can't really answer that. Because I know Nezuko isn't going to die. But I felt like I wanted to die because of what Rengoku did that one time for us. If he was still alive, then maybe he would have had a chance to beat Muzan. But no matter how ashamed or embarrassed you are, you have to stay alive. Giyuu would want that for you, did he not?" You stayed quiet.
