Summer seemed to go by so fast. I couldn't believe I was already going back to hogwarts for my seventh year.
It felt like just yesterday I was at hogwarts in my sixth year. This was the last time I would be going back to hogwarts.
I couldn't believe everything I had lived while at that school, the friends I made and the dumb stuff we did.
This year was our last and we needed to make the best of it.
"Triwizard tournament!" Siruis roared as we sat down on the train, "James we HAVE to participe!"
"that's if you're chosen," I answered,
"We can always give it a shot!" James encouraged,
"you sure that's a good idea," Peter mumbled, "those tournaments are apparently extremely difficult and dangerous,"
"Peter, dangerous is Siruis's middle name and mines difficult" James answered,
"that's for sure," Lily smirked at James as she entered the cabin with Viel and Alice, "Difficult is definitely your middle name,"
"oh shush, darling," James sneered at his now official girlfriend,
The two had finally officially started dating during the summer, I know because James made sure we were all aware of it. I heard the story of how they got together in way to much detail.
" So? " Viel intervined, "let me guess you were talking about the triwizard tournament,"
"yeah we heard a rumor," Siruis added,
"Allow me to confirm the rumor, McGonagall told me about it during the summer," Viel had told the group over the summer about McGonagall being her grandmother.
At first neither James or Siruis believed her, but as they realized that she was acting very serious they were more than shocked, but eventually they came to terms with it.
She explained that was the reason why she had transferred from beaux batons. After her mother couldn't take care of her she moved in with her grandmother. Who happened to be McGonagall.
There was still gapes in the story, but I was sure she'd open up to us at one point. We just had to be patient, but it was progress, I think it was her way of showing me after our conversation that she was ready to open up and put in effort.
James and Siruis nagged her with a million questions. Mostly surrounding the subject of what McGonagall's house look like and how different she was outside of hogwarts.
Obviously those two wanted to get as much information possible on McGonagall, but Viel like out quite little to nearly no information.
"are you two really going to try a participe in the tournament ?" lily asked, facing James eyeing him down.
"Well yeah we most honor our house," Siruis implied placing his hand on his chest,
"Let's be honest it's just for the fun of it," Viel corrected, "you know even if you're choosen only one person can represent hogwarts, you won't be participating together,"
Both James and Siruis's eyes wideen, "Wait are other schools coming to hogwarts?" James questionned,
"Yes, for a moment of fact one of the school's is beaux batons," Viel smirked,
"Holy shit!" Siruis shot out suddenly, "I'm finally gonna be able to put my French to good use!" He paused as he saw Viel glaring at him, "and we're gonna like meet your old friends,"
"I'm warning you Siruis Black," Her gaze pinned him down, "if I catch you saying something inappropriate or worse flirting with my friends, you're a Deadman at the bottom of the lake,"
Siruis swallowed down hard, "that was definitely a threat," he turned towards James, "Mate she threaten me,"
James shrugged his shoulders, "get used to it, lily threatens me daily,"
The schools entered into the great hall, first beaux batons than Durmstrang. They marched in a beautiful synchronisation, it seemed efforrless though they must have worked on it for weeks.
The second the beauxbatons had entered the great hall and sat down, three girls begun speaking with Viel. She seemed happy to see them, they must have been old friends of hers.
During the whole meal and even after students begun to leave the great hall, Viel continued to talk to those same students.
Everyone was chatting about the tournament, wondering what challenges would be held and who would be selected from each school.
Many students were bragging about how they would put their name in the cup. Others would push their ego on.
"So James? You in?" Siruis asked raising an eyebrow,
"you know it Padfoot," James replied,
"you're really going to put your names down? How ridiculous," I rolled my eyes, this was only day one of this new year and those two were already out of hand.
"Whatever Moony! If one of us gets picked it'll be fun!" Siruis tried to convince me but it wasn't working,
"I don't care whether you put your names down, I'm just saying it's stupid," I couldn't believe they were really planning on doing it.
I know they loved pranks and stupid games but this was a dangerous tournament we were talking about. This wasn't game, and it most definitely wasn't a challenge to be taken lightly.
As soon as next week students were going to be able to place their names down as participants. The triwizard cup would be placed in the great hall and anyone wishing to participe over the age of 15 had the possibility to be chosen to represent their school.
