3rd person POV

You have been skating for years, probably since you were 3.

You were into the singles skating, but your coach asked you if you wanted to start pair skating when you were at the age of 10, by that time you had your axel, not a triple yet because that takes a while, but you are close.

That's when you met him.

C/n.

Your closest friend, but you also developed feelings for him as you grew older.

When you were introduced to him, he was 12 and you were 11, he was quite tall compared to you, but that was good.

At the time you didn't really trust anyone to lift you because you were afraid of hurting him or one of you slipping and falling.

Soon you got the overhead lift and you were told not to look down which is exactly what you did because you seemed terrified.

Soon you and C/n were able to start getting routines and choreography done because you started to trust him more and more each day.

You went to competitions got awards and stuff, but that didn't really matter much to you because all you cared about was that you were able to spend time with C/n.

Now you were 15 and he was 16, and you were in the rink practicing your routine for your upcoming competition next month.

You and C/n were taking a break, but you were on the ice and doing a routine you had just come up with in your head.

It was a singles routine, even though you were in pair skating you never really gave up the singles skating and did both.

You did a waltz jump, a few salchows, even a double axel which took you years to get.

By the end of the made up routine to the song "someone you loved" by Lewis Capaldi, you heard clapping from the side and you look to see C/n with a huge smile on his face.

You smiled at him and skated back to him, a bit out of breath, but smiling nonetheless.

"That was amazing! Was that your routine for the singles competition?" He asks

You shook your head.

"Nah, just something I worked on at home." You say

His eyes widen and he looks shook.

"What?" You ask, tilting your head with a smile on your face.

"You should totally do that for competition! In my opinion it seems more personal and you have more passion in it than your actual competition routine that I've seen." He says

You're surprised.

He saw your routine?

"You saw my competitor piece?" You ask

He blushes and rubs the back of his neck.

"Hehe, yeah... remember that day you came in early?" He asks

You nod.

"I came in right as you started. But soon when the music was ending I walked out and walked back in so you wouldn't see me." He says bashfully.

You blushed and smiled softly.

"You ready?" He asks

You nod as he gets on the ice and he starts the music.

You both quickly skate to the middle and get in your beginning poses.

The song "perfect" by Ed Sheeran begins and you both start the choreography.
