Under the sea Part 2

Here's Part 2 for Under the sea!

2nd person POV.

Previously

"Y/n?" He asks

You turn around and smile.

"Told ya I'd see you around." You smile

Present:

"W-what?" He stutters

"I told you I went to the same school didn't I?" You giggl

He sits next to you.

"But I haven't seen you since we were on the island?" He asks

You smile softly.

"As soon as I got home that day my mom had an emergency thing in another town, and I had to come with her. It's a family thing." You smile

"Is she...?" He asks

You nod.

"She's a mermaid too." You laugh

"And this family thing..." he starts

"Mermaid family thing. My Aunt was having a baby and freaking out because she didn't know what to do, she was having the baby in her house and mermaids have to be born in water.  She lives a bit inland so we had to rush over and drive her out as soon as possible because the baby would be born with a tail. All mermaids are like that until a few hours later when they transform into a human." You explain.

He nods.

"Ohhhhh ok." He says

Soon class started and the teacher spoke up.

"We have a new student today, Y/n please stand." She says

You stand up slowly.

"Hi, I'm Y/n L/n. I just moved here from (another place) and I like swimming." You say

C/n snickers.

You silently kick him in the leg and he stops.

You sit back down and the lesson continues.

*A few weeks later*

You swam around the reef before laying on a seabed, sighing.

You started realizing your feelings for C/n after hanging out with him for so long now.

But the question was, should you tell him?

You don't know if he likes anyone, but he may like R/g/n (Random girl name). You always caught him glancing at her, but that could mean anything!

You groan and lay your head down on the seabed, throwing your arms up.

A school of fish swim in between them, making you laugh softly.

You see a little crab crawl over your belly and you sit up on your elbows.

It stares at your for a moment before scurrying off into the reef.

You decided to go back home, you swim towards your house and as soon as you got to the small patch of beach behind your house, you dragged yourself to the sand and lay there for a moment before turning back into a human.

By now it was about 7pm.

You walk inside and see your mom in the kitchen making dinner.

"Hey mom?" You ask

She hums in response.

"What do you do when you like someone? As in... romantically." You say

She turns to look at you, a small smile adorning her face.
