3rd person POV

C/n was on a boat with his closest friends and they were on their way to another island rumored to be magical, but that was just a history thing. Some people still believe in it though.

What people believed was that mermaids lived nearby.

Rumor was that some people have seen mermaids in the waters around the island.

The belief was, the mermaids could become humans and some lived among them.

Almost everyone in the world believed it and some even have seen a mermaid, but some people don't.

They mostly lived in the ocean, and a very few rare live on land.

C/n and his friends wanted to have a fun day and went to the island for a little hang out.

The boat stopped and they docked it nearby.

C/n took their stuff out and the others helped carry some things, like food, blankets etc.

As soon as they stepped foot on the island they felt a weird..... presence?

But they all shrugged it off and just went on about their day.

They were gonna camp for one night and then leave the next day in the afternoon.

C/n looks up after putting down the stuff.

He looks into the forest area and he swore he saw something... or someone move.

Curious, he moved towards what he saw and he peeks around the tree in time to see a person run away.

His eyebrows furrow and he involuntarily yells out "hey!"

The person looks back and freezes.

He takes a good look at her.

Beautiful e/c eyes, h/l h/c hair....

She was beautiful.

She ran away after looking at C/n, deeper and deeper into the woods.

He had the urge to chase after her, but for some reason he didn't.

"Yo C/n! Are you ok?" His best friend C/b/f/n asks

"I just saw a girl." He says

"What? Dude you're going nuts." C/b/f/n laughs

"Is everything ok?" C/f/n/2 asks

"Yeah everything's fine. C/n thinks he saw a girl." C/b/f/n says

"I KNOW I saw her." C/n insists.

"He might just be dehydrated and seeing things." C/f/n/3 says

"Come on dude. Let's go for a swim." C/f/2 says

They all took off their shirts and went for a swim.

While the three played in the water, C/n swam out into a deeper part and sat on a rock.

He thought about what he saw.

The girl.

She was beautiful.

Then he sees movement in the water.

"Probably just a fish." He mumbles

He looks at the spot where the fish was and expects to see a fish, but sees something different.
