New Year

Your POV.

You sat outside on the balcony, leaning your head against your boyfriends shoulder.

"Are you ready for the new year?" You ask him

"I'm excited, in a few months it'll have officially been 2 years  since we got together." C/n smiles

You smile back.

You got together your freshman year, everyone thinks you and C/n are going to be high school sweethearts. And you believe them, C/n likes you for you and he really cares about you.

He sends good morning and goodnight texts, he gives you gifts when he feels like it, when you're sad he's always there for you, he makes you smile and he makes you happier than anyone besides your parents make you.

"I'm so glad you asked me out freshman year." You smile

*Flashback*

You opened your locker and a note falls out of it.

Confused, you bend down to pick it up.

You pick it up and open it after putting your binders and notebooks in the locker.

Meet me in the courtyard under our tree :)

You smile, C/n was your best friend. You met him at the beginning of the school year and the both of you just clicked.

You put the note in your pocket and walk outside.

You find the tree, but don't see anyone there.

You walked towards it and stand there looking around.

You dropped your backpack, leaning it against the tree while looking around for your friend and crush.

Suddenly a pair of arms wrap around your waist and you're in the air.

"GOTCHA." C/n yells

"C/N C/M/N /C/L/N PUT ME DOWN." You laughed

He puts you down.

"What did you need me here for?" You ask

He's quiet.

You look at him.

"So... I-I um.... I... I wanted to tell you that..... I...." he starts

You step closer to him, tilting your head in a cute way.

He freezes and looks you in the eye.

Next thing you know his lips are on yours.

You freeze and slowly kiss him back  as soon as you realize what he was doing.

You slowly pulled away and he was smiling softly.

"I like you." He whisper

"I like you too" You whisper back.

"Be my girlfriend?" He asks

You nod happily, kissing him again.

This was the start of a new relationship.

*End of flashback*

"I remember that." You smile, kissing his neck softly.

He smiles.

"I'm so glad I didn't chicken out on that. Otherwise I wouldn't have had the courage and we wouldn't be where we are today." He says

You nod.

"Oh, hey it's starting." You say

Your family started chanting down from 20.

It was just a thing your family did, so all the couples in the family had time to find their significant other. It was just a thing you guys did.

It happened after your sister got sad when the countdown from 10 started and she couldn't find her husband in time.

This was about 3 years ago when you were 13, your sister was 21 and Newly married.

"5!"

He leans in

"4!"

You lean in

"3!"

Noses brush

"2!"

Lips graze each other.

"1!"

You kiss

"HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!" You hear your family yell.

You kiss C/n passionately and he kisses back with just as much passion.

Fireworks go off in the sky, lighting it up.

"Happy new year princess." He says

"Happy New Year bubby." You smile

You peck his lips again and turn your gaze to the sky, watching as the fireworks went off.

A new year was starting.

New opportunities.

New adventures.

New things to do.... lots of them with C/n.

Another year with your love and you were excited.

"I love you." You whisper lovingly

"I love you too princess." He says back, just as lovingly.
