Regardless of all my protests, they fell on deaf ears because both Xavier and Kai still did what they wanted. As they said, a week after our little office incident, they transferred me to one of their new companies. I no longer work the personal assistant position and instead, I'm apart of the accountant team as a manager.
I handle the daily workforce tasks by assigning duties to employees and holding them accountable for their workloads. So far I've been training new employees and manage hiring, and in the future, I will also have to sometimes deliver news about layoffs and terminations.
I'm grateful for the switch but I'm still overqualified for this position. When I first started working at Xavier company I worked underneath his father. I was training so I can become President of the Account and Finance department but Xavier and Kai came and switch everything.
They merged their companies and fired a lot of people, including their secretary. I was working in my office when I was called into their office. They wanted me to temporarily work as their personal assistant. Of course, I was hesitant but they reassured me that it would help with my experience. As you can tell, I agreed and somehow I ended up working as their personal assistant for the past four years.
Now, I was a manager when I really should be the head of my department. But don't worry, I have something every so great for both their ass.
You see, Xavier's father is due to make an appearance today in about thirty minutes. Knowing him, he'll actually be here in two minutes so he can meet everyone and start early. When he sees me I know for a fact that he will most likely want to catch up. I will then take that opportunity to tell him how much of douchebag his son and Godson are being. My mouth is going to run like water, but obviously, ill leave out the whole fucking each other bit.
Now, Xavier doesn't listen to no one but when it comes to his father he usually does. Even if his father can't convince him to let me go, he will most likely tell them to switch my position.
Getting up from my seat, I grabbed my purse and walked towards the elevator. I don't want to just stand at the elevator, so the best thing to do is to act like I'm leaving. I heard the elevator door open and I quickly occupied myself with my phone.
I like the color scheme in the main- Athena!" I heard his father say. A smile ghosted pass my lips and I put my phone.
"Mister Battistoni, it's so nice to see you!" I exclaimed pulling him into a hug. Xavier and Kai stood there staring at each other and my smile fell.
If they're here then I'm going to have to try and Mr. Battistoni by himself. You know what, it would honestly be better if they were there. I could put on the damsel and distress role pretty good when I needed too.
