Chapter 49

"Wow" Posh couldn't stop himself as he boarded, making the captain of the boat chuckle as he helped everyone get on board.

"I am glad you have finally returned" he said looking at Phana and Ming "Your Highness", he bowed and so did his crew that stood behind him.

"We sensed your presence but was not sure" Captain then continued after few seconds of silence. 

"Thanks" Ming said with a small smile, while Phana looked distracted, his eyes following Beam and Kit who were trying to climb on to the deck.

"my brother is usually polite, he is just worried" Ming said, nudging Phana back into the conversation.

"er... ha, yeah... " Phana said looking at the captain and then he finally sighed "sorry, what were you saying?"

Captain who looked as someone in their late 50s laughed "It is okay, your highness", his eyes traced back where Phana was looking earlier "Congratulations"

"er... thanks" a faint blush colored his cheeks "I will be back in few minutes, we need to speak about the travel and safety plans", Phana quickly hastened towards Beam.

"Is no one living there now?" Ming asked the captain, who only nodded his expression turning nostalgic "That used to be a beautiful place filled with life when our King was there" the captain of the boat said with a sad smile.

"it is completely deserted now and the palace has been ruined" he said "after the last attack a few of us, tried to return but we were not able to break down the barrier, no one could and eventually we gave up and settled around the island"

"What barrier?" Kit asked as he came and stood next to Ming and Phana, with Beam and Posh in tow

"Not sure" Captain said looking at all them "we just could not enter, at all"

"Hmmm" Phana frowned.

"So , will it be only five of you making the trip tonight?" Captain asked

"No, it will be my whole pack" Phana replied "and we would need to cast some wards before we start the journey"

"As you wish your highness" Captain smiled "am just glad that The Royal's are back"

Posh raised his eyebrows "Just the Royals?"

Kit softly shook his head, making Posh stop instantly. "Why can't he sense you two?" he questioned Kit.

"Later" Kit responded, as he continued to look at the captain. 

Captain looked a bit confused, but since no one said anything more he didn't ask anything.

"Am glad to have met you" Phana said breaking the silence "good to know the old pack is safe"

"Can we join you?" Captain asked looking expectantly

"Sorry" Phana shook his head "not for now, and I want you to inform everyone that they are not to come to the palace or even near this Island until we say so" he said in his alpha voice, making it clear that it was not a request but an order.

"Yes Sire" Captain bowed again, under the weight of his command.

"We will meet you later, and wire you the money" Beam said with a soft smile and before anyone could say anything, he turned to Phana "Can we have lunch here before heading back"

"Yes" Posh nodded his head, but Kit cut him "you are coming back with us"

"Er?" Posh was about to say something but Ming added "Beam, you guys carry on. We will discuss further with Captain and head back to the hotel".
