"Vulcan?" Kit called softly "Sir?...." he intertwined his fingers with Ming as he walked through the dining room, looking for the God who saved them.
Rest of the gang had turned in for the night, exhausted.
Phana was torn between staying back with them and following his pregnant mate, he chose the latter after Kit's promise to connect with him when they spoke to Vulcan.
"Since when do you call me 'Sir' sweetheart?" Vulcan replied softly, his voice heard only by Kit and Ming.
"Er...." Kit didn't know what to respond, and Nila took over.
"My human is still a bit cynical despite everything" Nila replied with a smile, "a product of this time, if I may say"
"I know" Vulcan's voice sounded tired "many don't believe in us anymore"
"Can we get to the matter at hand?" Kimmon cut in, "Why are you here protecting Aspen?"
"Am merely returning a favor to Diana" Vulcan responded "Mine was to guard the entrance to old castle until the time was right"
"Hmmm" Kimmon didn't say anything more
"Can't say I like this new Kimmon, where did my friend go?" Vulcan asked "Is your human rubbing off on you as well"
Nila smiled, while Kimmon shrugged "maybe"
Vulcan sighed, "it needs to end now here, else it will spread to all dimensions if Maeve takes over"
"Why can't you or goddess join?" Nila asked "we are merely your creations, our powers couldn't compare to yours"
"Such is our fate" Vulcan responded "and it is your choices that matter, we can show you the way, guide you but finally it is you who hold the power to choose"
"So much for choices" Nila said, echoing Kit's sentiments
"You can still walk away" Vulcan said "but I know you won't"
"So what do we do?" Kimmon asked
"I believe you must now have the key to enter the old castle, I see the winter fey's with you" Vulcan said, "looks like they chose to stay and fight"
Kimmon nodded, as Vulcan continued "in the old castle is where find the battle ground and remember shielding yourself will not help you there"
"How do we win the fight against Maeve?" Kimmon asked "We failed the last time"
"That is not for me to say" Vulcan said, his voice devoid of any emotion, "all I can say is you will have our blessing"
"Okay" Nila said softly, "can you please tell us if we will end her for good or will we banish her"
"Smart" Vulcan laughed "banishing will no longer help, you will end her for good but it will come with a price, your final choice"
"and Phana says, you are the most non-cryptic god!!!!" Kimmon scoff "but then he doesn't know you like I do"

"Should you not be following Forth?" Irin asked as he entered the room, Jisoo had opted to stay outside with Posh both curled up in a huge divan and drifted off to sleep.
"Leave the door wide open" Jihyo said, earning a soft chuckle from Irin, " Sorry, but I don't trust your brother with her yet"
"He is not here, he wandered off into the forest" Irin replied as she opened the door , ignoring Jihyo's comment "why don't you go to him?"
Jihyo sighed and finally gave in under her friends glare "neither of us are ready yet.... Maybe when all this is over"
"hmmm" Irin got into the bed and curled up on her side "I wonder if we will make it out alive"
