"It's been four days" Jihyo said restless "you can't keep us under house arrest forever, can't learn magic spells magically on the contrary to what you might think."

"not forever and it is not house arrest" Beam snapped, losing his patience with his friend "I don't see Jisoo complaining"

"Hmmph" Jihyo just ignored his reply and walked to the backyard searching for Phana. Beam gave up and looked at Kit who mirrored his expression.

Ever since he realized that Maeve is targeting their pack witches, everyone has been on high alert.

While Jisoo was content to stay home with her spell book and Posh, Jihyo grew impatient by the second.

It has never been in her to wait.

"She is gonna curse us all in a heartbeat" Kit said softly to Beam "or make a run for it"

"I know" Beam frowned, "I can't blame her...."

"the worst is" Kit looked around "She thinks she is putting us all under risk, she wants to isolate herself especially from Jisoo"

"What?" Beam frowned

Kit just shrugged "Nila told me"

"Yeah, actually I wanted to ask you" Beam walked closer to Kit, as if he suddenly remembered something.

"In the cave, all those children calmed immediately when you walked in..... how is that?"

"Nila has a natural empathy to all living creatures" Kit replied Nila's words "part of moon goddess's nature"

"like how she sensed my conflict with Tee" Beam said, "any moron can see that, you don't need white wolf for it...." Tee grunted "If only you listen to me"

"you sure took your own sweet time to tell me we are part of Phana's pack, his mate...." Beam snapped out loud "yet you talk of listening to you"

Kit smiled "still bickering I see"

"Anyways, so Nila can connect to anyone?" Beam asked, ignoring his remark

"yes" Kit responded

"hmmm" Beam thought for a second "even Maeve?"

Kit frowned, that had never occurred to him and neither Nila nor Kimmon had mentioned anything.

"Phana.... please" Jihyo's voice broke their conversation "all I need it is to go home, get some stuff"

"Tell me what you need" Phana replied, his voice tired

"Do you want to go through my underwear draw now?" Jihyo smirked "don't think your mate will appreciate it"

Phana cringed "I will take Beam with me... he can get it for you"

"what the..... does he really think of me as a girl?!" Beam frowned to Kit "maybe I should fuck him to make sure he gets his commonsense back"

Kit chuckled at now fuming Beam "you haven't yet?", he raised his eyes as if he was surprised making Beam's frown go harder

"Aarrghhhh..." Jihyo was close to punching someone, she looked around desperately for some back up, but Ming and Irin only stayed silent.

"If she can't break my wards her, she can't break my protection circle anywhere" Jihyo said, trying to reason

"But a simple bullet can" Wayo said as he entered the hall with Forth "You must remember how they used regular humans to kidnap these two", he pointed towards Beam and Kit.

"That was before..." Beam started to argue but stopped himself as he realized he was not helping.

"in that case, what is to stop them from bombing this whole damm place?" Jihyo raised her eyebrows "one shot, all kill"
