Chapter 50

"I will wait by the shore" Captain said as they all finally got off the boat "just in case you are not able to break the boundaries"

"Please go back" Wayo said firmly as the older wolf looked at him with distrust "we know what we are doing and it will be okay"

"do we really?" Posh whispered in Jisoo's ears who gave him a stern look as well as earning a quick look that said shut the fuck up from Phana.

Captain sighed, not wanting to disobey yet worried for his Royal's pack "I will start back now, but will be within visibility – please send out the distress signal and we will reach within an hour"

"Thanks" Ming said politely, and Phana thanked him as well saying "but please keep your distance, I don't want anyone coming within a 50 mile radius of the island"

They waited in silence, ensuring that the captain and his crew of werewolves kept their word.

"Wow" Phana said "it is hard to act all firm and royal to someone so old"

"You did great" Kit said encouraging him

"Even I bought it" Max said with a cheeky smile earning a glare from Phana and a chuckle from Beam. For all their initial differences, Beam had actually grown comfortable to the winter fey just like Irin.

But Phana still kept his distance.

"So..... this barrier" Wayo said, as he moved forward trying to feel it's presences

"It like the island had shut itself to outsiders" Kit said as he closed his eyes and let Nila take control. Ming's aura changed as Kimmon took control, he said to Phana "Stay on guard, we will search for any opening"

"I can't seem to break through" Kimmon frowned" it feels like the barrier is being powered from inside"

Nila tried to push through as well "I can't connect with anything that might be inside the circle, how is that possible?"

Kimmon finally reached his mate on other side of the island "I don't sense anything either, what do we do now"

Nila nosed her mate, "I hate it that Posh might be right, we have no idea what we are doing here"

"I wish the goddess would help us" Kimmon said "she has been silent for some time now"

Nila sighed "let's just get back" , and both wolves started running back towards rest of their pack "riddle after riddle, I feel useless"

"But don't you feel it" Kimmon turned his head towards right, trying to get a sight of what was holding down the barrier "it is so pure"

"I do" Nila responded "but am not able to connect or get through to it"

"maybe we have to make it understand instead of fighting it" Nila continued as both wolves ran towards their pack

"Like  we come in peace?" Kimmon asked, and quickly corrected himself "Ming must be rubbing off on me"

"don't make silly jokes" Nila growled in frustration "whoever or whatever it is.. it is protecting something"

"Ye..." Kimmon stopped midway and growled "Azure's"

Forth and Wayo pulled out their weapons and ran towards the incoming wave of Azure's attaching the from all direction.

Max's spear slashed making a way for Tul to quickly follow him as he slashed though their enemies.

All four wolves were fiercly battling a hoard of dark elves. Pha's teeth tore apart their bodies as they were made of paper preventing any elf from reaching his mate or sibling.

On the other side, Jihyo and Jisoo were holding their own with help of magic, casting spells that either burnt the elves or froze the in place.

Tee continued ripping apart those who managed to slip past Pha, Posh was phasing and Irin despite her training was struggling.

"Don't phase" Tee said to Irin "Use your arrows" , as he saw Posh's wolf rolling on the ground with four dark elf's attaching him. Tee quickly made a beeline towards them and jumped on one, at the same time his fangs buried on the next that was close.

Another elf ran towards Tee, with sword aimed for his throat. Tee tried to move to the side as he sensed he was caught between Azure's when suddenly Kimmon stood tall in front of him surrounded by Azure's bodies that were attacking him.

"Thanks" Tee said as he quickly repositioned himself on Posh's side his eyes alert.

Nila dragged Jisoo, who was heavily bleeding with Jihyo on their tail. "She is okay"

They moved back slowly as the summer and winter fey's joined them.

"Tee... go back" Pha connected with him "take Irin and Jisoo"

They were trapped between the incoming waves of Azure's who seemed to be appearing out of thin air and the barrier at their back. Everyone was losing energy and were bleeding.

Kimmon, Nila, Pha and Forth along with the other fey's formed a semicircle around rest of them as the slowly walked back towards the barrier, praying nothing attacks them from the inside.

Tee unable to contain the worry for his unborn child. It had just been few hours they announced about the pregnancy to his family and now all he felt was fear.

He looked around for a way out, anything that will help him protect his child, his family. He moved to his side completely shielding Irin and the young witches, while Posh's wolf stood in front of him.

Pha could sense the impending doom unless there was a miracle, he connected with Jihyo "Open the damm portal back home"

"Am trying" Jihyo replied as she struggled to finish her spell while bleeding continuously

They all moved in closer together, as the dark elves continued with their attack.

Tee felt a simmer around him, as he was very close to the barrier. He concentrated on that spot, alert for anything that might jump through and attack them from behind instead he felt an overwhelming feeling of safety.

It was as if the barrier had opened itself, so that he can protect his child and without any thought he stepped into it.

"Teeee....", "Beam" he heard a collective gasp and call, as he continued his surveillance standing very close to the spot where the barrier had allowed him to enter

Pha quickly turned only to find Tee completely disappear from his sight.

"guys, come in... it's safe" Tee connected with his pack, as he slowly pushed thought the barrier with his head grabbing on to Jisoo who was closet to him, and dragged her in.

"Just get in here for god sake" Tee connected with his pack, "Pha... hurry"

One by one they fell back in through the barrier as if they are stepping into an waterfall.

A dark elf rushed to the side, making it's way closer to Forth and made a slash on his arms, only to be stabbed from the back by Wayo.

"Get in" Wayo panted, as he blocked the elves that started swarming towards them "quick, i will be right behind"

Pha and Max, followed Tul and once Kimmon entered at last it was like the barrier had shut itself once again completely.

They could see the Azure's trying to figure out where they disappeared or how to force themselves inside, but in vain.

"So it opened itself?" Pha quickly scanned the place, where it looked nothing out of the ordinary. They were in a pasture and there was nothing in sight except for the vast green land.

Max and Tul scanned the place, but no one found anything sinister

"It is clean" Forth observed, as he held his left arm tight to stop the blood gushing out "But I can't figure out why it let us through"

"Wayo..." Nila quickly tried to rush out only to be blocked by Kimmon, "he made his choice" at the same time Irin screamed "Noooo"
