Chapter 27

"Ming, don't you think this is too much" Phana chuckled when Ming tied his eyes, "I can still smell the roses"

"Not my problem" Ming laughed "I am just doing what my boyfriend told me too"

"Whipped much?" Phana laughed

"You are the one to talk" Ming scowled "I then trust you will find the way with your nose, and you don't need my help"

"Hey" Phana gripped Ming's hand tightly when he suddenly froze, he also sensed Ming tense "I don't feel them"

"They are in trouble, something is not right" Ming said as he ran into the house, quickly followed by Phana.

Pha tried to sense his mate, he let out a loud growl fighting for control over Phana, who let him, very next second he took control and then stood a huge black wolf in front of Ming, who was shouting Kit's name searching for him.

The black wolf looked at him once, before he started following Beam's scent; Ming ran to the car and started following the wolf, he felt Royal's call to his pack altering them that they are danger. He quickly called Forth as he tried to follow the wolf who seemed to be quickly disappearing from his sight.

Pha was closer to the middle of the forest and that's where Beam's scent disappeared completely. He let out a howl to let his pack know where he was as he started searching for his mate in that area.

He was quickly joined by Sean, his pack and Forth. But neither one of them could find any trace of either Beam or Kit. Ming pulled up closer to them and got down on foot "Anything?" he asked in general to a pack of wolves and the Pixie

"It is like they vanished" Forth answered "I don't even smell the humans"

"How is that possible?" Ming asked , when suddenly Phana started growling. All 7 wolves turned alert as they faced the clearing

"What is it?" Ming asked looking at the empty land

"I sense a witch" Forth said "But I don't see her anywhere"

"If you want to see your mate, wait alone – get all the wolves and pixies out" they suddenly heard a voice loud and clear.

"No" Forth replied "Who are you and what do you want?"

"It is your call, your highness - face us alone to save your mate and friend, or we will kill them" the voice answered, completely ignoring Forth, "you know our power now"

"Pha" Forth said "they wont hurt Beam as long as you are alive, the sacrifice won't work"

Ming stood there like a stone, no one seemed to notice his presence, only human among magical creatures. "Kit... what about Kit?" Ming shouted, when Forth quickly looked at him. It now made sense why they had taken them both

"you have an hour" the voice said "choose wisely"

As quickly as it had started, they felt the Witch's presence disappear in a second.

"You can't stay" Sean said once he had phased back "You really cant"

"I don't care" Phana said with a gritted teeth "you and your pack will leave now, and do what I say", he then turned to Ming "You too"

Ming shook his head, but Phana continued "Forth – can you help me, I will distract them while you rescue Beam and Kit"

"It is dangerous" Forth said, "Why don't you leave – we will stay"S

"Don't you dare" Phana growled this time, not Pha but Phana "Sean – take your pack and leave, NOW". He turned to look for Ming, but he saw the determination in his eyes, to save his lover "STAY HIDDEN", he said to both Forth and Ming "Find a window and pull them out"
