DANSBY

I laughed as Blake wiped ice cream on my nose. We were currently sitting in Marble Slab since we were both feeling better.

"Blake, I swear, I will not hesitate to shove this whole cone in your face."

"Right. I'm sure you'd to that."

"Are you testing me?"

"Maybe," she replied with a smirk.

Wordlessly, I reached across the table and stuck the cone on her forehead.

"James Dansby Swanson, I am going to kill you."

"You're so cute when you're mad," I replied. I could have sworn that I saw a blush rise to to her cheeks, but dismissed it quickly.

"Shut up," she grumbled before turning away.

I looked at my phone as I got a notification.

"Blake, tonight I'm going out with the team and you're coming with."

"Okay. Where to?"

"Some bar across town."

******

The atmosphere of this bar was absolutely amazing. It was a complete change of pace when we walked through the door.

"Shots for everyone!" Ender Inciarte shouted over the music.

I watched Blakelynn down shot after shot before walking to the dance floor with Chelsea Freeman and Brittany Joyce. I couldn't deny how hot Blake looked tonight. She was wearing a skin tight, short leather skirt with a black lace bralette.

I don't know what made me go out onto the dance floor and walk behind her, grabbing her hips. Maybe it was how drunk I was, but I didn't care.

She turned her head around to see who it was, smiling when she saw it was me and continued.

After a few songs I decided to grab another drink, leaving Blake on the dance floor.

When I returned with my drink, I was fuming. She was dancing on another guy, laughing and smiling. I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"You good, man?" It was Freddie Freeman. "You look a little mad there."

"I'm fine," I responded. I shrugged his hand of my shoulder and walked away to find a girl to bring home.

I spotted an averagely pretty girl. Her features somewhat resembled Blakelynn's but, weren't as flattering.

I almost decided against bringing her home, until I glanced over at Blakelynn again. It seemed like she was having the time of her life.

Getting the girl was easy. All I had to say was my name before she agreed to go home with me. I didn't bother asking her name.

"Tell Blake to call an uber," I said as I walked by the table with the remainder of the team.
