DANSBY

I smiled down at the text that Taylor had sent me. Originally, she was just another girl that I brought home, but she turned out to be a little different, and I found myself wanting to get to know her.

She had really long brown hair and green eyes. Freckles were randomly placed along her nose. She had a flirty personality and witty remarks.

I actually found myself liking her, until Blakelynn smiled or did anything really.
I finally admittedly feeling for Blake to myself, and when I found Taylor, I thought that I could move on.

For a while, I thought it was working. Then, I saw Blake doing nothing, literally nothing, and I remembered how much more Blakelynn is to me.

It kind of pisses me off, really. It's annoying how Blake can do anything, anything at all, and I love it.

Taylor was a great girl. She wasn't close to the other girls that I brought home, and I'm grateful for that. It was like a breath of fresh air to have someone that didn't want money want me.

I didn't really know what Taylor and I were. That's why I told Blake that she was a friend. I broke out of my thoughts when there was a knock on the door.

Just as I was about to turn the corner to open the door, I heard Blakelynn open the door.

I watched as the scene unfolded in front of me.

"Oh...um...hi?" Blake said, almost like a question.

"Hi, I'm Taylor. I must be at the wrong apartment. I'm looking for Dansby Swanson."

"This is the right apartment," I heard Blake say.

"Who are you?" Taylor asked.

"Blakelynn. I live here with Dansby."

"Oh. He hasn't mentioned you."

I outwardly cringed as Taylor said this. It was almost as if she wanted to start a fight.

"He didn't mention you either," Blake said. I could hear the annoyance in her voice.

As much as I wanted to watch this go down, I knew I couldn't let it happen.

Taylor, Blake," I said acknowledging them before continuing, " I see you've met."

I ushered Taylor inside and shut the door.

"Who is that and why does she look exactly like Blakelynn?"

I cringed for what seemed like the 12th time today. I hadn't even realized that Blake had company, let alone that it was my sister.

Lindsey has a loud mouth with no filter. She always has. I shouldn't even be surprised that she said that.

"This is Taylor."

"Taylor? Dansby, you haven't said anything about a Taylor," she said, looking at me skeptically.

Again, I cringed and dragged her away.

"Lindsey, I am begging you to please be nice to Taylor. I actually like her."

"Her? No. You like Blakelynn."

"Taylor is a very sweet girl. Don't ruin this for me"

Walking back into the living room, I grabbed Taylor's hand and walked her to my bedroom.

"Taylor, this is my bedroom," I said as I opened the door.

I honestly hadn't expected Blakelynn to be curled up in my bed, fast asleep.

"Um... Does she always sleep in here?"

Cringe.

"No, not really."

I lied straight through my teeth, but I thought that if I told the truth, that she would leave, and I really did like her.

If you really liked her, why did you lie? You should be honest to the person you liked.

I groaned as the thoughts invaded my head, before leading Taylor outside since my bedroom and living room were being taken over by Blake and Lindsey.

I had planned on letting Taylor meet Blakelynn, before watching a movie in my room with Taylor.

I should have expected Blake to be in my bed. She always was, and even though it messed up my plan, I wouldn't change that.

I was determined to make things work with Taylor. That was the only way for Blake to get out of my head.
