BLAKELYNN
"Can you chill out for a second? It's just Dansby. He's my best friend, Jacob," I spat angrily.
"That doesn't mean anything. There are pictures of you two hugging everywhere. Looked pretty intimate to me," He huffed.
"You're seriously bent out of shape because of a hug?" I asked.
"I don't understand why you have to get so cozy with him when you have a boyfriend. I also don't understand why you have to live with him," He yelled.
"It's not that deep, Jacob."
"It is that deep. I'm a state away and all I can think about is how you're probably cheating on me with him," He argued.
"You're kidding me. If you can't even trust me, I don't even know why we're dating."
"Wait, wait," he said, his voice softening. "I'm sorry. I can trust you. I just don't trust him. I'm sorry, Blakelynn."
I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair.
"I can't help but be jealous. You guys just understand each other. I don't want him stealing my girl from me. Especially when she's as amazing as you," he said.
"It's okay, Jacob. Just please, trust me when I say everything between Dansby and I is strictly platonic."
"Okay, I believe you," He said.
"Alright. I've got to go. I'll call you later," I said, hanging up the phone.
"Trouble in paradise?" Dansby said.
"I didn't realize you were home," I said, my hand on my heart because he scared me.
"I got home about 5 minutes ago," he confirmed.
"So you heard everything?" I asked.
He nodded his head. "Blake, I really don't like the way he talks to you."
"He's not usually like this, I swear," I said with a sigh.
"I've only ever heard him talk to you like that," Dansby argued.
"You don't know him like I do. Just give him a chance and he'll surprise you," I promised.
"Okay, whatever," he shrugged. "I don't trust him though. At all. Did he even wish you a happy birthday?"
"He didn't know today was my birthday, Dans."
He shook his head. "You don't deserve to be treated this way, and one day you'll see it."
"Dansby! He treats me fine, for the last time," I yelled.
He looked shocked and I honestly, I was too. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell," I said quickly.
"It's fine, Blake."
"It's just... my parents don't like him, you don't like him, and Lindsey doesn't like him."
"Maybe that should tell you something," he said with a shrug.
