DANSBY

I had made a lot of progress as far as getting Blakelynn out of my head. Taylor and I were growing stronger everyday, and she really was a good girl for me.

When I saw Blakelynn at the club, all the progress I had made became non-existent. I tried my best to not even spare her a glance. I felt like I owed that to Taylor, but when Blake came on to one of my teammates, I couldn't believe it.

I don't know why I got so mad. I still am mad. I dropped Taylor off at home shortly after Blake and Ender left the bar, and now I was in my room, listening to them in the other room.

Hearing Blakelynn scream like she had screamed with me not too long ago infuriated me. I couldn't even handle it.

I held a pillow over my ears as I tried to fall asleep, but they just kept getting louder and louder.

With a groan, I walked out of my room and banged on Blakelynn's.

"Would you please shut the fuck up in there," I yelled.

When I was walking away, her door swung open. She stood there, using the door as a cover.

"Did you say something, Dans?"

I watched as she batted her eyelashes at me. I knew she was trying to get a reaction out of me.

"Yeah. Can you guys quiet down? We have a game tomorrow."

"Sorry, brother, no can do," I heard Ender say.

I've never gotten so mad so quickly. Hearing my own teammate say those things had me seething.

"Get out, Ender. Now."

"Woah. What's your problem, man?" Ender asked with a hint of annoyance in his voice.

"Fucking leave," I barked, satisfied when I heard the front door close as he walked out.

I turned on my heels and walked to my room, but was stopped when Blakelynn ran over and stood in front of my door.

"Blakelynn, go put some clothes on."

"You can't just kick my guest out and then ignore me."

"I'm not ignoring you," I lied.

"Bullshit. This is the most you've talked to me in a week. It's like you forgot I existed. I understand that you have a girlfriend now and that she's your priority, but I never thought that you would forget about me because of that."

My heart broke as I saw tears in her eyes that threatened to spill over.

"I could never forget about you."

"You are something else. I thought- I actually thought that we were something there for a second. We were flirting and having sex all of the time. When you visited me in the hospital, I could picture us together, and then Taylor comes from out of no where and for some reason, I get ignored. Then, you come in here and you kick my guest out and say things like 'I could never forget about you.' For the love of God, Dansby, stop messing with me. Stop playing with my head and making me think that there is a shot in hell that we could have a chance."

I stood there shocked with no clue of what to say. As she brushed by me, I had no clue of what to say.

"Wait, Blake."

"No. I'm sorry, Dans. I shouldn't have said anything."

I watched her as she walked away, throwing on some clothes before she ran out the front door.
