The Void: Frozen Threat

Power Hungry

----One's P.O.V----

"Retreat...back....walls...to....many!" I look around seeing people fleeing while bullets fly by hitting them as they run towards the walls.

I start crawling only to stop feeling exhausted and in pain, then I remember what happened, the explosion...I glance around seeing people dead or dying, I watch as someone puts there hand up but one of the attackers shoots them once and they become motionless.

"Move forward!" commands are shouted and I watch as a huge wave of enemies run for the walls.

I think to myself about how I have had a good run and hopefully my suffering doesn't last long. Before I could close my eyes someone grabs my and rolls me over.

"How are you still alive?" Jax looks at me with surprise and I spit in his face.

"Because...nothing will kill me, not even you" I shout with all the energy I had.

"I guess your wrong then" He pulls out a pistol and puts it to my head

---2 hours earlier---

"This way I know a room which has a vent to the roof" I follow Adonikah hoping I could trust her even though I had only just met her.

She opens a door to a closet of some sort and uses a bucket to boost herself up to an open vent. I follow her and we both crawl through the vent heading towards what I hoped to be a roof.

"Hang on I have to remove this cover so we can go to the roof" I nod and watch as she uses a spoon to unscrew the screws holding the cover on our exit.

I look around as I hear a weird sound and before I know it I look down seeing the vent starting to give way.

"Hurry it is starting to collapse!" I watch as Adonikah unscrews the last screw and crawls out, she then offers me her hand and I take it before the whole vent collapses falling into the cafeteria and landing on a table.

"Hey!" Multiple guards look up at the same time and pull out there guns as I dangle from the opening only held up by Adonikah's hand.

I reach up and she grabs my other hand pulling me through the vent before a whole stream of bullets unload into the metal where I had just been.

"Run!" I shout and we both sprint across the roof as we head towards the far end stopping when we get to the edge.

"We have to jump" I look at her and she nods

I tell myself this is going to hurt and I jump from two story's up landing in the back of a truck filled with pallets. Adonikah lands beside me and we recover quickly before sprinting towards an open gate and out into the forest.

----Alex's P.O.V----

"We have movement in the bushes!" I turn to see one of the men in my supply run team looking at the bushes with his gun raised.

"It is probably just a squirrel-" Before the man next to me can finish an explosion goes off sending the guy flying over us.

"Shit get to cover!" I jump behind a pile of logs and look around before spotting One hiding in some bushes with some of the other men.

"We have to go!" I get up and shout as everyone starts to follow.

That's when I notice something and I turn around seeing Jax looking at me surrounding him is a bunch of guards aiming there guns.

"Run!!" I sprint towards One grabbing him quickly before sprinting towards the gate of the base, guns start firing behind us killing several men around me as we run faster.
