A/N: I just wanted to thank all of the people who have read this book because it means alot, I'm going through some stuff right now and I'm going to try and put all my energy and focus into book 3 to send this series out on a good note, anyways I hope you enjoy book 2's finally...Maybe😋

--3 weeks after the infected invaded the base--

(One's P.O.V)

Screaming erupted through out the building as Wyatt and I ran down the halls trying to escape the shadows that we had encountered in the building. I looked behind us not seeing Luna or Lucifer who had ran in a panic to. I turned back to look at the nearby exit and once outside I stopped feeling weird, I looked to my right and all I saw was a masked figure before a metal pipe smashed against my cheek making me get knocked out cold.

(Alex's P.O.V)

I fired off shots as we were being chased by infected, I took a quick glance to see Opie and Sabrina swinging left and right to hold off the stragglers. We kept going reaching a nearby alleyway before I stopped running into Sabrina who was starring wide eyed at something. I turn around to examine what it was and my eyes were horrifed at the sight, tears welled at my eyes as I dropped to my knees. three bodies, two I knew and the other looked familiar but I couldn't recall his name. 

Luna and Wyatt  both hung against a wall with the other one his name I still couldn't picture.

Sabrina was just standing shocked into silence while Opie held off the last infected seeming to look upset but he quickly had turned away to end the infected brutally. I took a moment to stand up as I approached the three bodies and once I did I notice Luna was still breathing...as for the others, they were gone as I watched them struggle to reach out for me with growls coming from there mouths.

"Have mercy my friends..." I shot the two men till they stopped moving entirely and then I cut down Luna. I grabbed her and got her away from the wall a little ways and as I shook her she woke up breathing heavily and trying to get away from me in fear.

"Luna it's us, what happened!" I was trying to hold back anger as I wanted to know where One was seeing he hadn't been on the wall.

"T-there watching...Lucifer and Wyatt...On-" She was shaking as I held her, tears dripped from her eyes as I stopped her once she said One.

"Where is One...?" I looked at her and she looked fearful and she pointed behind her, I took a deep breath and turned around. My eyes grew wide as Sabrina, Opie, and I looked at three men standing on a roof, One was infront of them laying at there feet with his eyes closed.

"WHO ARE YOU!" I stood up drawing my pistol which I thought would help but the men didn't move, I started to shake with rage as my finger slid over the trigger slowly.

"I wouldn't shoot" The one in the middle spoke and the mask covering his face seemed to come into view, his eyes were a deep green and his skin looked like a very deep tan and his mask had a smile on it but I could clearly see the blood splattered on it. 

"You killed two of my friend's...you expect me not to shoot you where you stand!" I watch his expression as I said this and he seemed to be emotionless almost like he had nothing to lose, I thought he was gonna respond quickly but all he did was kick One making him fall off the roof landing on some old boxes.

"I want you to know that we meant you no harm...this area is our turf and you can tell your New Hope council to stay out of our land or more scouting teams will end up on the walls of this town." I was confused by his words but he seemed positive that we were from New Hope.
