There was a moment of silence in which mother and daughter just saw each other, it was obvious that the girl was completely surprised at what was happening. She turned to her side and, with the help of the light of Druella's wand, Calynn could see that the man who had forced her to walk was Cygnus, her father. The girl wasn't sure what to do, maybe she could try to escape and forget about that situation.

Calynn tried to get up from the chair, but realized that her body was not moving, as if she had been glued to the chair. She kept trying until she realized that her father was immobilizing her since he kept pointing her with the wand.

"What's happening to you?" The little girl snapped as she made more efforts in vain to get off the chair. Druella only saw her with a mocking smile on her face, it was obvious she was giving her a great show. "Let me move!" Calynn exclaimed desperately as she continued the failed attempts.

"How weak you are!" Druella said between the laughter that caused her daughter's suffering.

"Help!" The girl screamed too loudly. Lily, who had taken that path to go home and protect herself from the rain, could hear her friend's voice as she jumped and approached little Black's home stealthily.

"Silence" Druella's mocking voice had disappeared with that shout, apparently, she didn't want anyone to know what was going on. A few seconds of silence passed until Druella slapped her own daughter while Calynn screamed in pain, tears began to come out. "Enough of games, disgusting girl."

"Now that you are a witch, you must learn to use your powers in the right way," Cygnus began with some regret in his voice. "Magic not only generates tickles, also suffering, control and even death," he continued in a dark voice, "you will be the one who will dominate black magic," he said. "Even with your friends."

"What do you mean?" Snapped the pretty annoyed girl. "Why should I do that? Why do you expect that from me?" questioned the girl with anger and a trembling voice.

"We don't expect you to, we are ordering you," said her mother this time in a serious voice.

"I will not do it!" Calynn shouted confidently, which caused Druella not only to get angry, but decided to silence her daughter's mouth.

"Crucio!" Druella's voice rang out in the room that had flooded again in the dark as a reddish thread came out of her wand directly toward little Black.

The girl fell to the ground immediately while she closed her eyes and was flooded with excruciating pain that caused her to writhe on the floor with tears streaming down her eyes. That was the strongest pain she had felt throughout her life; she was short of breath, she felt she was going to faint at any moment. To her bad luck, thoughts began to form in her head while the pain was still present.

"Kill me," the girl thought as she clenched her fists, trying to endure the pain. In the background, little Black could hear her father's voice begging Druella to stop and what seemed like hours of suffering had vanished, with the girl still on the floor and too weakened. The light had returned to the room, which made it clear how pale Calynn's skin was, it had barely opened her eyes.

"If you are still so weak, you can never achieve anything, cowardly girl," the woman commented with great anger, but could not avoid a small mocking smile.

"I'm not a coward!" She managed to express Calynn as loudly as she could from the ground.

"Then prove it!" Said the woman as she pointed her daughter again at the wand. "Cruc ..."

"Enough, Druella," the man said as he stood between his daughter and his wife.

The woman brought a gesture of despair, apparently, she did not want Cygnus to stop her at all.

"So, you don't want our daughter to be part of the dark side?" Snapped the defiant woman as she looked him straight in the eye. "And let go of me, I don't need to listen to your advice," she finished as she dodged her grip with a serious gesture.

"Of course, I want our daughter to accompany us, but Druella is excessive, she is a girl," the man said with a pitying gesture.

Calynn just listened to them, they had both stopped watching her because they had gotten into their conversation, when she realized that she could move easily, she was no longer under her father's spell. As soon as she realized this, an idea occurred to her. She analyzed a little the distance between her and the door, so, without thinking about it, she got up from the ground, bearing the pain that had remained after that curse and left the house quickly. She was about to start down the steps when she watched Lily right in front of her.

"Lily!" Said little Black as she took her hand and they went down the steps together.

"What happened?" Began the redhead. "Are you okay?" She finished with some concern in her voice.

"Wait, we have to get out of here," the girl whispered as they ran to the garden tree they always went to while they were soaking up because of the extreme rain. They ran quite fast no matter if they filled with water as they passed through the huge puddles.

They reached that tree and rushed to climb as high as they could while helping each other. They scratched a little because they were not experts climbing that tree, but they managed to hide with great efficiency, the pain of the scratches did not compare anything with the one that little Black had just passed. Cygnus went out to the garden and looked for them, but without any success, he was looking for another time between the houses until he gave up and they could see that he had returned to the house while closing the door with great force.

There was a silence between the two girls until Calynn's sobs broke her, the adrenaline had passed and he finally had time to realize her reality, to be able to express the emotional pain that her parents' attitude had represented; which had overcome the pain of the spell.

"What have they done to you?" The redhead asked as she tried to calm her friend with her arms around her. At that moment, the sound of a few steps caught the attention of both girls while Calynn was silent again until Lily realized who the person approaching the tree was.

"Severus!" Said Lily. "He can help us decide what to do," Lily whispered to Calynn as they helped each other down the tree and meet the boy once more.
