I was laying in bed listening to the rain hit the house. I sigh and sit up and wrap myself in my blanket and walk out my room to see Taehyung in a school outfit. I smile and wave at him but he just gives a fake smile and walks off. I frown and watch him leave.

"Don't worry about him Ly, he just needs time to adjust to this." I hear my new dad say and I nod and hug his side as he stands next to me.

"He's a trainee at a company. Maybe one day I'll have him take you with him." He says and rubs my back soothingly.

"Where'd my mom go?" I ask and look up at him.

"She starts her new job today. I was off so I stayed home to keep you company."

"Aren't you ashamed of me? I'm not...like you." I say quietly and feel tears well up.

"No I'm not ashamed of such a cutie like you. I promise I will be the best I can be for you and your mom." He says and crouches down to meet my height.

"Taehyung is ashamed of me." I sniff and he wipes a tear.

"He just needs to warm up, he's not ashamed." He says and I nod and we head to the kitchen.

The whole day I worked online classes and we head out and walk around so I could get used to my surroundings. We got stares but I was more focused on the values he was teaching me. Before Taehyung came home we go back and make treats.

"I'm home! There was a new kid at school today." I hear Taehyung say and I walk out my room and greet him. His smile drops when he sees me and I slump down.

"Taehyung be nice to your sister. She already-"

"She's not my sister. She never will be MY sister." Taehyung says and I start to cry and run back to my room and close my door.

I hide under my blanket and sob as I hear the two talk in the living room. I knew it wasn't a good idea to come here. I don't want to be here in Daegu. I want to go back home to Miami.
