I finally get the boys on the Skype call and I let out a breath.

"Hello everyone, I have called a meeting because I have news to share." I say and Eric leans forward.

"You're pregnant aren't you?" He asks completely joking and I see not only my mom's expression change but Taehyung and Hoseok's expression change.

"What no! Eric hush!" I laugh and he chuckles.

"Oh good. So what's the news?" Mercedes asks and I smile.

"I got the job." I smile and they all cheer and congratulate me even though three people already knew.

"That's great babe." Minji smiles

"So when are they gonna have you start?" Mom asks and I hum.

"Next week actually. They wanted me to start as soon as possible." I say and they all lean forward.

"Next week? Are you even gonna be able to balance school and work?" Mercedes asks and I nod.

"It's a lot of work Ly. It's hard but you can do it." Namjoon says and the boys nod.

"So are you going to be stationed or traveling?" Jungkook asks

"Both. When there's no projects I'm working on, I'll be at the headquarters but when there's a project, I'll be traveling." I say and they all nod.

"Be safe out there Lyra. There are a bunch of creeps in the world." Mom says and I chuckle.

"I will mom, I promise."

"So where are you going to be starting out?" Jin asks

"Japan." I say and they all have a look a shock.

"Japan? Already?" Eric asks and I nod.

"There's a documentary being shot there and they wanted me to join the project."

"So about school work..." Dad trailed off and I look at him.

"I'm going to be taking online classes." I say and I hear some hums before Yoongi speaks up.

"I think you can do it. It's going to be very stressful but I don't doubt that you won't be able to find a way to adjust to it." He says and I thank him and they all start to have their own inputs on how they were proud of me.

"I won't be able to speak much for a year and a half."

"WHAT?!"

"What do you mean you won't-Lyra!" Mom shouts.

"I'll be in places with little to no reception. I'll be in contact as much as I can but I won't be able to call or text most of the time." I say and they all give me a look.

"Lyra are you sure?" Taehyung asks and I huff.

"Guys I'll be with a huge film crew AND Gummy and Soo will be with me. I'll be okay." I say and they let out some breath.

"Promise us you'll be safe." Minji says and I nod.

"I promise."

I lay on my back as I stare up at the ceiling. I let the thoughts consume me as I start to think about all the things that could happen while I was gone. I sigh and try to relax my mind. This was going to be a long year and a half.
