CHAPTER THREE

"Jane?"

A voice called out of nowhere. I can't open my eyes properly with the powerful strike of the light. I can't see anything but the light in front of me. I haven't been in a place like this before... but I can feel my feet standing straight from the light. Am I already in heaven? Is this already the end?

"Actually, you're not in heaven... and it's not the end either."

Then, where am I?

"Jane. I wanted to thank you for saving my daughter's life. You've led her to the right path."

But how did I do such a thing? I can't even walk on my own without holding on to something? I can't even save myself from anything...

"You have given her the best option of all she could ever have. You have helped her regain her strength towards fighting for her life..."

Wait... is A your daughter?

"Yes."

I just stood right where I am and waited for the voice to
speak again.

"You see, A had been having a hard time. She felt so alone and she was extremely weak. That moment when you were together at the balcony, she was thinking she would jump from the hospital building... but by chance she didn't, and you've saved her."

I didn't see that coming though; that she wanted to jump.

"And as a reward, I am giving you a chance to be normal again."

Chance? To be normal again? How?

"You'll be a normal person when you wake up from this deep sleep. Your memories will be refreshed. You'll be as good as new, and so as your life. Yet it also comes free with some unexpected possibilities."

Unexpected possibilities??? Wait...

"Don't worry, Jane. You're a strong one. If you have a problem... pray. It's all you'll need..."
