CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

We arrived after fifteen minutes at their house. The place was already surrounded by fancy cars and lights were scattered around. It looked like stars on the ground. Marco held me gently and walked me in through the doors as we greet the guests with our smiles.

"Jane. Thank you." He whispered.
"What for?"

"For learning to love me back."

I just smiled at his words... knowing I don't really have anything to say about it anymore. I am finally on the way my destiny really wanted me to be; and this is it.

We sat on the front table where my family and his were. We watched as our parents talked about things... and my mind suddenly began to feel blur. My parents suddenly stood up from their seats along with Marco's and they went on the stage.

"Good evening everyone. In behalf of the Stewart and the Grey families, I would like to thank you all for coming here tonight..."

I felt Marco's hand held mine and squeezed them tightly. I looked at him and I smiled, he nodded.

"As of this evening, we will make our announcements. Our first is that our companies have already agreed to merge with each other, as of the second announcement wherein our successors will be taking care of."

The words suddenly caught my attention. My hands suddenly pulled away from Marco.

"Our only son, Marco Grey, and the Stewart's eldest child, Jane Stewart are now officially engaged."

My jaw tightened as my brain was still absorbing the thought. The crowd already clapped their hands and Marco held me to stand up, and I did.

We smiled at the cameras and unto the crowd; who looked like the happiest audiences on earth.

I looked at Marco and he was in his happiest point. He looked back at me and kissed my forehead, and hugged me tight. I smiled.

I turned to the crowd and I was surprised with what I saw.

It was A. She was in her white gown, and her hair was so long. She was alive, she was happy... and I felt like fainting; like my world suddenly began shifting to another place again.
