CHAPTER NINETEEN

"Jane."

Heaven again?

"No. Not yet."

What? Not yet?

"You still have to make decisions before you'll know what will happen to you."

What decisions am I going to make?

"I wanted to show you what is happening now as of the moment on your first life. I think you might have already forgotten about it."

I stood up and the scene suddenly flashed in front of me. I was in my hospital room and as the usual I was lying in my bed, William was sitting on my right; holding my hands so tight as he kisses it while he was staring at me. He was crying. I was breathing so hard. My family were there too, except that my parents don't look as the happiest couples the way I saw them on my second life.

"This is what's happening right now."

Am I dying?

"No. You still have to decide."

Decide on what?

"What life are you going to choose?"

What? So I had the privilege to choose after all?

"Yes, of course."

Why haven't you showed up earlier?

"If you're thinking I let you go on to your life and had already forgotten your past one, don't blame me. Because that is how you were destined to be in that other life. You were meant to feel such things for Marco, just as the same as how you have felt when you lost your disease. You are different in the other way. You've seen that didn't you?"

I nodded. And thought about the people who are so happy; A, my parents, Marco's parents, Marco, Auden... but William and I weren't.

"William is waiting for you to speak. He'd been there for you for almost a month now."

What?

"And Marco is waiting too. He's been looking forward for you as his bride for a very long time."

I know.

"You have a week to decide."And slowly, she vanished.

I woke up an hour after I passed out, and Marco was standing by the window inside the room. The party was still on- going... like I didn't just faint in front of them all.

"Hey,"
"Hi."

He walked closer to me and sat down on the corner of the bed.

"How are you feeling?"
"Grand."

He smiled and checked the time in his wrist watch. He stood up and looked back at the window again.

"I told mom you need some time with me alone. Don't worry they didn't notice you fainting."

"Yep."

"So, where are we going?"

"I'm taking you somewhere... somewhere where we can be alone together..."

"What do you mean?"

"I want you to know me more."
"Know you more in what way???" he smiled at the thought, and my heart started to beat fast and my breathing got so hard. He laughed and held my hands.

"It's not what you think. You're so funny." I did a fake laugh and he laughed even more.

"I just want to be alone with you."
"Just promise me, nothing stupid okay?"

"Promise." He smiled that sexy smile again and my heart felt like I want to pass out again.
