CHAPTER TWELVE
The next day, we toured all day. We went through the different churches that were built a long time ago, and went to the Chocolate Hills in the afternoon. Auden seemed to be having a great time, so as Marco. I am having a great time, except the fact that I was still thinking about Will. He was quiet all the way yet he makes those good responses whenever we approach him.
It was already our last night at the place. And that evening, we spent our moments at the pool. I was sitting beside Auden while William played in the water with Marco.
"It's fun to be with him." Auden cleared out the silence.
"I can see that." I smiled back.
"I just don't get it why he still remains to be single until now since you turned down on him. He told me he needed to prove things before he'll pull himself back at loving someone again."
I stared at Auden as she watches the guys swim deep down to look for the coin they were playing. I sighed.
"After this trip, I don't know what will happen...if we're still going to continue dating or what... you see, aside from the fact that he is my second cousin, he was also unprepared about love. I don't want to force him out. I know it would be a desperate act to make someone love you but, I somehow thought it would be better this way. I'll just go with the flow. If he is meant to be mine, he would be. If he's not, it's alright with me."
I felt like I wanted to tell her to stop. But on the other hand, she was right. You can't force anyone to fall in love with you. If that would be the case, if destiny dictates that you are not meant to be, then there's nothing you could ever do.
And it got me thinking that maybe, just maybe... life the other way around has written our fate that we're not meant to be.
