once again, i'm doing this on my phone. bear with me here. also, thanks for 69 followers ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). this chapter is also really short. sorry about that. i'll update a lot sooner though because of that

The audience gasped.

"Look it's nothing against you, Todoroki," Deku continued. "I love you. I really do. I just feel like this isn't right. I'm so sorry." He slowly backed off the stage before turning around and running towards the building where his lounge was.

Inko and I stood up, ready to follow him. She turned to me, giving me a look of surprise before pursing her lips and nodding at me. I took off after him, my feet kicking up sand behind me. I felt seashells cut and poke at my skin, leaving a sharp pain on the bottom at my feet, but I ignored it.

I ran up the beach, in the building, and down the hallway, following the trail of sand Deku left behind. I finally reached his door, hearing coughing from inside. I knocked on the wood.

The coughing stopped and a toilet flushed. Moments later, the door swung open, Deku standing there. He had taken his veil, blazer and tie off, his hair was slightly messed up, and his face was streaked with tears. I gave him a smile, letting him know I just wanted to talk.

He groaned and threw his hand to his mouth, running back to the bathroom. I tried to follow him, stepping over the garments he left on the floor, but he slammed the bathroom door behind him. I pressed my ear up to the door, listening to the sound of him coughing. I rapped lightly before opening it, not even waiting for the 'come in'.

Deku was hunched over the toilet, coughing up blood and rose petals, the same orange color as Kirishima's. I squeezed my eyes shut, the sound of coughing and sobbing filling my ears. When I opened them, he had stopped, hugging his knees and rocking back and forth.

"You said it wasn't common," he whispered. "You said the disease wasn't common. But now I have it. And you had it and Kirishima had it and Kaminari had it. What happened to uncommon?"

"Deku, I-" I started but he interrupted.

"You lied."

"I don't understand what's going on," I said. Deku shouldn't have the disease. "You shouldn't have the disease. Todoroki loves you. I can tell."

He ignored me, continuing his ranting. "I'm going to die, Kacchan. Because you had to go and get that stupid surgery. Its ironic isn't it? As soon as you stop loving me, that when I realized I liked you."

"Deku. Please tell me whats going on. I still don't understand."

Deku snapped his head towards me. His cheeks were soaked with tears and he had a crazy look in his eyes. "How. Dense. Can. You. Be?" He said in a harsh voice, emphasizing each word.

I didn't answer. I still didn't understand.

Deku stood up and grabbed my shoulders, shaking me hard. "I can't do this, Bakugou. I can't sit here and just pretend like we're just friends. Like everything is normal. You loved me. And I didn't love you back. So you got a surgery so you wouldn't die. And ever since then, things have been different. I recognized how stupid I was for not returning your feelings. Because as I'm sitting here, coughing up bloody orange rose petals, I realize that because of you and your stupid surgery, I'm going to die."

"What?"

"BAKUGOU I SWEAR TO GOD!!! Do I need to spell it out for you?"

I was still really fucking confused. Did he- Did he like me? Was he actually confessing his feelings right now? "I still don't understand."

He sighed and pressed the top of his head against my chest. I heard him let out a laugh. "Oh my god," he said. "Why was it you that walked into my bakery that day? Out of all the god damn people in the world." He looked up at me with sadness filled eyes. We stared at each other for a few moments until he let go of me, looking at the ground. I heard him mutter something under his breath before locking eyes with me again.

All of a sudden, everything became a blur, and the next thing I knew, he was actually kissing me. All I remember is that he grabbed each side of my face, stood on his tip-toes, and shoved his lips against mine.

so this chapter is REALLY short and i'm really sorry for that. but i wanted to leave a cliffhanger so bad. but that means that i'll be uploading two chapters today. the next chapter will just come a little later though since i'm behind on writing. normally i have my chapters pre-written. anyway, this was what was going to happen on movie night but i decided to make it more dramatic so here it is.
