We were sitting right now for dinner, and the tension was thick. Ally and Toni were still at each other's throats. I sighed deeply as I wondered why Mom assigned that room to Ally when she basically knew that Toni stayed there too. Both of them have really opposite attitudes. Toni is a bubbly and carefree lad, while Ally being the "strict mom" attitude. She's the mother despite Catherine being the oldest. Even with Cathy's age, she's a child at heart.

"Good evening, girls," Mom greeted each one of us. Everyone greeted her back except for the two, who were having a staring contest. "It seems like there's an elephant in this room," she said, acting like she didn't know anything.

I sighed, knowing Mom was the reason behind this thick tension. Then all of a sudden, both girls started telling their side of the story simultaneously. Mom just looked at them as if she enjoyed the bickering.

"Guys shut it!" I said in an authoritative voice. Both of them kept quiet. I rarely use that tone unless these types of things happen. "Both of you should shut your traps because you're making yourselves entertainment for Mom," I said, glaring at Mom, who raised her hands in defense while smiling sheepishly.

"Well, it slipped into my mind, Ally. You don't mind changing rooms, right?" Mom asked as nicely as possible. Ally scoffed and rolled her eyes.

"Fine," she answered.

"Well, isn't that amazing? The case has been closed" Mom smiled at them. Ally was still glaring at Toni while the other was giving her an annoying smile. I'll guess this house would be loud for some time.

Everyone introduced themselves to Toni. Well, almost everyone got along with her. You already knew who's the one who hated her. It was nearly time for Toni to go home, but Mom summoned me to her study before that.

I knocked on the door twice before I entered inside. Mom motioned for me to sit, which I declined.

"It seems like you didn't expect the girls are coming?" She asked.

"Actually, I already did. Knowing you, you won't let me down," I said gratefully. "But really, Mom, you're gonna play Cupid?" I asked as I raised a brow while my hands went to my waist. Yes, Mom could be childish sometimes. She shrugged as she gave me a sheepish smile. I shook my head and told her that I needed to send Toni back to their house.

As I got back to my car, I saw Toni was on her phone as she leaned on the side of the vehicle. Her voice was barely low, and you couldn't hear it if you didn't focus on her voice.

"I already have my dinner here at Sam's," she said. I made my way as quietly as possible, not wanting to interrupt. "Well, there was something that I didn't expect, though," she said. I could feel her smiling. I leaned on the car, and I could hear who she was talking to. I heard Fedora's voice on the other side of the phone, asking for the details.

"Remember when Sam's mom gave us room to stay?" She asked, and the Latina confirmed. "Well, she happened to also give it to another girl, who happened to be Sam's best friend," she continued as she ran her hand over her hair. "The plot twist? I saw her in her naked glory. Well, who knows, I got a gay side?" She chuckled. My eyes went wide in the sudden revelation, and it made me snicker. Toni quickly turned around and saw me. Her cheeks were painted with red, and her hand was quick to end the call.

"Oh my gosh," I started to stifle my laugh. The blonde marched her way toward me and hit my arm.

"Please tell me you didn't hear everything," she asked as she placed a hand on her forehead, probably because of embarrassment. I give her a sheepish smile earning a groan from the shorter girl.

"Relax, I won't tell a soul," I winked at her. She glared at me before sitting inside the car. I also got inside and started the engine.

"I can't believe you heard everything," she sighed deeply. I chuckled at her.
